Coffee's Eevee Café

Special someone.

Chai's POV:

Finishing my shift I left the café, headache, paws ached, everything ached. I walked back slowly, the only thing lighting the road up were a few street lights, some flickered, others were completely out. I walked along the concrete path to my house. Climbing up the creaking wooden stairs and opening the door. An Eevee ran up to me,my girlfriend Cannoli.

"Welcome back Chai!"

"Nice to see you Cannoli.."

I walked in, growing a smile as she eagerly followed,talking about how her day was,what she did,and how my day was.

"Just another day in the café that's all."

I replied falling into my bed,Cannoli walked over to me and nudged her head against me.

"Don't tell me you're going to sleep before you eat what I made you!"

"Oh, of course not,what did you make this time?"

She walked over to the kitchen,I tiredly followed and sat down in the chair,Cannoli walked over beside my chair,sitting the food down. I began to eat and grinned at the taste,her usual spicy but sweet dishes always woke me up a little.

"You should bring your baking to the café! The only food we serve are cake pops and I'm sure having more on the menu would be great!"

"Aw thanks,but I don't think my food is that good."

I held a stare at her,I don't know how she could think something silly like that.

"Oh come on,at least try, we can see each other at work!"

"Fine, I'll give it a shot,only because you asked so nicely."

She giggled lightly,I smiled and swayed my tail with glee, I knew for sure coffee wouldn't pass up on the sweets she can bake.

I would push the dish up a little, having finished eating, hopping out of the chair and heading to my room, I climbed into the bed and layed down. Cannoli followed and layed next to me,she nuzzled her head into her paws and fell asleep not long after. I sat my head on her back and drifted off after a few minutes.

A sharp ring would blair through my ears,I woke up and turned the alarm off, an unpleasant sound woke me up. I nudged Cannoli, she was always a heavy sleeper, nothing sound wise could wake her up, I kept tapping her until she finally woke up.

"What..?"

"It's morning sweetheart,let's see if coffee will let you work at the café as a baker."

I stumbled out of bed, stretching my legs out, I looked over to Cannoli who rolled out of bed and hit the floor a little rough. I giggled a bit and walked over to make sure she was alright. Helping her to her feet, I would walk out of the door,and down the concrete path to the Café.

"So,what should I cook for this?"

"How about a Crepe?"

"I haven't made one of those in a long time Chai!"

"Oh come on, I'm sure it will taste amazing!"

She let out a laugh of amusement and nuzzled my cheek.

"You always think my food tastes good silly!"

I stuck my tongue out playfully, continuing on the path. Eventually we got to the cafe, I walked through the doors, Coffee looked over at me and Cannoli, I trotted over to Coffee.

"Hey, Coffee, you wanted more food for the café right?"

"Mhm, have you found someone who can help us with that?"

"Yep, This is Cannoli, they are my girlfriend!"

Coffee looked at the dusty brown Eevee,and signed for us to follow. He took us to the kitchen and sat down.

"Here make something, I'll give it a taste test and we'll see if you got what it takes!"

Cannoli took a small deep breath and walked over to the fridge, taking an egg carton out. She cracked the eggs into a pan,letting them sit for a little while before flipping it. She would slide the Crepe shell out of the pan. I watched with interest, the smell was sweet and delicious as her cooking usually smelled. She looked to Coffee and asked.

"Chocolate or Strawberry jelly?"

"Chocolate."

She would stand up and search the pantries, taking a small jar of chocolate out, grabbing a butter knife out of the drawer. She would get a small scoop of chocolate and spread it on the Crepe shell, she would get another small scoop and spread it on the other half of the shell. She would use the knife to flip the Floppy Shell closed. She picked the plate up and sat it Infront of Coffee.

"This is a crepe."

Coffee would stare at the desert, sniffing it before taking a bite.

"Oh my Arceus, this is actually really good, what was it.. Cannoli?"

Cannoli had a nervous smile, she glanced at me and giggled.

"Guess you were right, huh?"

Coffee stood and walked over to Cannoli,he nodded and walked to his office. I followed behind Cannoli to see what he was doing. He walked right back out of his office with a hat, placing it on Cannoli's head.

"Welcome to the café, Cannoli!"

Her eyes lit up as she wagged her tail rapidly.

"I did it chai!"

Coffee chuckled and winked.

"I hope you have other items on the menu because you've just become the baker!"

Cannoli nodded with a confident smirk on her face.

"I'll make a few dishes and come by tomorrow for you to test them!"

"I look forward to Cannoli, see y'all later!"

She turned to me and hopped excitedly,I could see how ecstatic she was about this. I grinned with joy.

"Nice job sweetheart!"

I purred, I tossed my head in the direction of the door and began to walk out,the sun was still high in the sky,it's Ray's lighting the path back home. I listened joyfully to Cannoli go on and on about the new job she got with my help. Their soft voice calmed all tension in the air if there even was any, a voice as sweet as a song, a voice you're able to get lost in.
