I followed the map Mikage had drew out, huffing in amusement when I saw the squiggles he drew. I noted he wasn't very artistically inclined, it gave me such nostalgia for some unknown reason. The map led me to a run down shrine.

The building was large in size, but everything looked a little run down, as if no one had lived there in years. And yet the place still looked well taken care of, albeit a little worn around the edges. The grass was freshly cut, the leaves on the ground raked carefully and the paint looking a few years old.

Someone had been taking care of it, it seemed.

Taking a deep breath, I walked up the long winding steps, pulling my jacket closer to me and carefully rolling my suitcase behind me. The closer I got to the top of the stairs the more the air seemed to get more tense, menacing almost. Like something was waiting for me at the top.

Not one to back down, especially when I got this far and having nothing left to lose. I continued up the steps despite everything screaming at me to run, my heart beating quickly.

I finally reached the top and stopped to admire the shrine. It might have been old, but there was a certain beauty to it regardless. Even in the dark it looked nice. There's was that familiar feeling again, this place gave me such nostalgia like Mikage did. But I couldn't place my finger on why. It was all just a blur if I tried to think where I've seen it before.

A chill went up my spine suddenly, I snapped out of my thoughts, my heart beating faster as I froze. It felt like someone was watching me. Looking around to see if I could spot anything, I jumped when I heard a voice speak up.

"Welcome home, Lord Mikage!"

Red smoke, that looked similar to fire, appeared in front of me. I jumped, stumbling back in shock. I dropped my suitcase behind me and tripped backwards, going through a set of doors. I yelped when my head hit the floor.

'What the hell?!'

'No wonder the guy was so willing to give me this place and move in!'

It was fucking haunted!

"So, it is you, Mikage." A voice spoke calmly, too calm in my opinion.

Pushing myself up with my hands, I turned around slowly. I saw a figure appear in the darkness, their back to me.

Even in the dark, I could make out the faint outline of long legs hidden in a yukata that fell a little at his shoulders and exposed his long slender neck that would've made me blush in any other circumstances.

"What the fuck..." I whispered, eyes widened in disbelief when I saw the outline of what looked like a fucking tail and were those fox ears on top of his head?!
