It was a beautiful day, with some fluffy clouds in the sky. But this beautiful and normal day was soon coming to an end as a Java sparrow was flying down to the Mikage shrine, wearing a ceremonial hat.
Will this Java sparrow bring glad tidings or a bad omen to the shrine? We will just have to read and see.
Scene: The Mikage Shrine
On this ordinary day at the Mikage Shrine, everything was calm. The bird was chirping, the shrine sparkled, and the flowers were blooming.
Or, well, trying to bloom, that is...
After a normal day of school, Haru returned to the shrine with all of his schoolwork done. He was now trying to focus on his new god abilities that Tomoe kept pestering him about nonstop.
The most Haru could do, as he was only human, was try to practice using white talismans. And that's what our beloved Haru is doing now.
Haru sat crisscross on a mat in the middle of cherry blossom trees, with eyes closed, and a white talisman on each tree with the word 'bloom' on it. He was currently meditating to hone his mind so that he could focus on his power.
As Haru was trying to get into his mind and focus on his breathing, he started feeling very light and could've sworn he was seeing something.

It felt like he was having an out-of-body experience. He could see where he was, even though his eyes were closed. The same shrine, the same mat, and the same cherry blossom trees
The only thing that wasn't the same was him. It was like he was all blurred, and you couldn't make out any details of his appearance.
He was still there, only blurred, and for a split second, he couldn't swear he saw someone else sitting where he was and in the same pose as him.

Haru opens his eyes only to see a Java sparrow hovering in front of him. What he saw was gone in a flash as his attention was brought to the sparrow.
'Hmm???'
"Hello...?"
"I come to you with a message. A message that's very dear to Princess Himemiko," The sparrow spoke, and Haru held out his hand so that the sparrow could perch.
"Princess Himemiko? And what message does she bring?" Haru asks, raising a brow.
"Later this evening, Himemiko of the swamp will visit the Mikage shrine to pay her respects to you, the new lord and god of the land. The sparrow replies.
