POV: 3rd person

Soon, class was over, and it was their lunch break. Haru writes down the last part of the notes before stretching his fingers out from his cramped hands while writing.

He stretches his arms above his head before he puts his notes away in his bag. Haru spotted Kurama walking towards him in the corner of his eye, a group of girls following behind him like ducklings.

"Haru! Are you going to lunch?" Kurama calls to Haru before walking up to him.

As Haru stood from his desk, he suddenly remembered that he didn't bring anything for lunch, nor did he bring money to buy anything for lunch.

Kurama notices Haru's reaction and tries not to laugh out loud, but one could tell that he is very amused.

"Did someone forget their lunch?" Kurama teases Haru.

Haru sighs. "Well, I was in a rush this morning due to some inconveniences." Haru says, thinking back to this morning with Tomoe. The fox yokai in question, who stood on a tree outside the classroom window, narrowed his eyes at Haru.

"How about this? I'll buy you lunch as a way to thank you for that tour earlier." Kurama suggests wrapping an arm around Haru's shoulders.

Tomoe's eyes burned holes into Kurama as he eyed the arm around the new land god, who forced him to become familiar with him. He has his suspicions about this 'pop star' that transferred to Haru's school, but he won't take action until he is proven correct.

He was not about to lose his lord and master to other low-bred, dirty yokai.

Haru contemplates Kurama's offer to buy him lunch. He did forget his lunch, and he couldn't afford to go back to his past eating habits. So, just this once, he'll indulge himself.

Before Haru could answer Kurama, the door opened, and elegant fog seeped into the room. This caught everyone's attention and made everyone turn to the unannounced arrival.

In the doorway, Tomoe appeared, without his ears and tails and in a traditional Japanese kimono, with several servants in tow.

"I apologize that it took so long to make the arrangements, Lord Haru." Tomoe spoke.

"This is your joyous first day back at school. I, Tomoe, used every last ounce of skill to prepare your meal." Tomoe continues on as the servants behind him place him down and arrange the meal that Tomoe has prepared.
