The group was sitting at the table eating the dinner that Kakyoin had prepared. They were casually conversing with an occasional joke from Polnareff every once in a while. It was a nice evening to the terrible day they've had. They finished eating and Jotaro helped Y/N up from the table. She was still having a tough time walking after that moment with Jotaro. They two said their good nights and headed back to the house.

Jotaro carried her up the stairs and into the house. He couldn't come up with words to tell her. He was not only embarrassed, but he felt absolutely awful about throwing her. He didn't mean to and he wasn't actually the one to do it. He wasn't exactly sure what had happened, but there's no way he could explain it to her. He was just going to explain what his dad and him talked about and why he was upset. He was going to try and avoid how she got thrown across the room like that. He was perfectly fine taking the blame for this one. After all, it was his fault.

They were now laying in bed and there was a slight awkwardness in the room. Y/N hadn't said a single word to him and he hasn't said anything either. They were also facing away from each other. There were no words to describe the tension between the two. Jotaro rolled over and tried to come up with anything to say to her but his thoughts were cut off.

"What happened today? You were pretty upset earlier and you've never been that angry before." She still stayed rolled over on her side of the bed. She wanted to know what they talked about and what made him so angry that he flung her across the house. Jotaro sighed and prepared himself for the long conversation.

He sat up and rubbed her shoulder. "Can you come here, please? I want to make sure you're okay." Y/N hesitated for a moment but slowly made her way onto Jotaro's lap. He tried helping her but it seemed to make it harder rather than easier. She finally got there though and she laid her head down so Jotaro could play with her hair while he talked.

"I went in there and he was sitting on the couch looking at the pictures that were hung up. I sat down and looked at him. He looked sickly, super skinny, face sunken in, his skin was practically white. I want to say that I hated seeing him like that, but I really didn't know how to feel." He was still playing with her hair. It was calming him down so he wasn't going into a panic state.

She continued to listen to him. "He was telling me this sob story about how he regret his behavior from before and blah blah blah. I didn't care too much about what he was saying. I told him to get to the point as to why he was here. So he told me about his illness. He didn't go into detail about it though. He just said it was terminal and that he had a week tops. I didn't say anything, though. I didn't want to say anything. He has made my life as hard as it was and I wasn't going to give him any mercy." He has stopped playing with Y/N's hair at this point. He was recollecting his thoughts and making sure he was telling her everything.

Y/N started rubbing circles on his thigh. She had decided not to say anything so he could calmly tell her the rest. "I just listened to his sob story and when he was done, he left. I didn't say anything else. He pat my shoulder and left, Y/N. I didn't say anything. Was I supposed to say something?" Y/N looked up at him and gave him a soft smile. She didn't have to say anything to reassure him, he already knew what she was going to say. He nodded his head and put his head against the board. He just wanted to sleep now.

It was the next morning and Y/N woke up to the smell of breakfast and people softly chatting. Her back was feeling a lot better but it still hurt a little bit to bend. She still wonders how the wall didn't smash into pieces after hitting it that hard.

She threw on a quick outfit and went out into the dining room where Kakyoin and Polnareff were sitting. Taking a seat, she asked where Jotaro was and Polnareff looked at Kakyoin. This was oddly suspicious of them to be doing. What was so secretive that they were keeping it from her? "Jotaro said he had to run to the store for something and that he would be back soon. That was about an hour ago." Kakyoin nodded his head and picked up the coffee mug that was on the table. The air wasn't exactly awkward, but it was awkward.

"Okay, then. You guys already ate right? I'm sorry there isn't much food here I haven't been able to go shopping recently." She headed over to the counter where there were bowls of food prepared. It all smelled so good, she could eat all of this if she really wanted to. She grabbed a little bit of everything and walked back over to the table to attempt to eat. She winced in pain as she slowly sat down on the chair. After a struggled atempt, she was successfully in the chair and ready to eat. She went to start a conversation when she saw Polnareff gripping onto his cup, forcefully. "You okay, Pol? You seem to be a little stressed." He suddenly looked at his hand and left go, flexing his hand. "Yeah, sorry. It's just really hard seeing you like that after what he did to you. Are you sure he's...you know?" Y/N knew he was just worried. He wasn't trying to imply anything about Jotaro.

"I promise, he's okay. He was just stressed and his emotions were confused. He's not like that usually. Everything's all good now, we were able to talk about the situation and he got his feelings out." Y/N knew he wasn't at the store right now. He was probably in his comfort spot. She promised to never bother him there unless he asked her to go with him. Intruding his spot was the last thing she wanted to do.

For now, all she could do was wait until he got back home. That probably wouldn't be until tonight. Maybe she could bring the boys on a shopping trip. After all, she knows they haven't been able to spoil themselves lately. She could definitely afford to threw a few dollars towards their funds.
