Lets start a band

It's currently Friday and I'm sitting in English class bored out of my mind. Every second was going by slower and slower the more I focused on the time.
"Just 2 more minutes," I say to myself anxiously tapping my foot on the floor and staring at the clock.
"What do I do with all of this time" I think to myself looking around the room for something to stare at.
The bell finally rings and everyone gets out of their seats and starts packing up.
"Everyone before you leave don't forget to grab your essays off of my desk." The teacher says putting a stack of papers on the front of her desk for everyone to grab.
"My god, why is this line moving so fucking slow?" I think to myself. Maybe there is something wrong with me, what if I'm sick maybe even depressed what if I -
"Hey Y/n your essay is the best one I've seen in a while I wouldn't be surprised if you became a successful writer in the future." My teacher interrupted my thoughts as she handed me my paper back.
"Oh really, thanks," I said as I picked up the paper and put it in my backpack.

I was the first one at our table. This is weird I'm never the first one at the table normally Michael is here why am I so anxious all of the sudden I'm never this anxious.
"You're here early," Michael said as he sat down.
"I know right," I said sitting down next to Michael. "Never would I ever think that Y/n L/n would be here before me," Calum said as he sat down right across from me.
"Ok what's your deal, it's not like I'm late to lunch all the time," I say.
"Uhh sorry to break it to you but you are," Michael said.
"Whatever," I say rolling my eyes.
After a very long period of silence Calum's phone broke the silence with a ding, he pulled out his phone and looked at it.
"Who is it your girlfriend?" Michael asked Calum in a teasing tone.
"No it's Ash," Calum said
"Are you sure it's not your girlfriend?" Michael asked still teasing him
"Mikey, when have you ever seen Calum near a girl?" I ask teasing the boy
"That's a good point," Michael said
"Hey, I could get a girlfriend if I wanted to," Calum said trying to somehow defend himself.
Me and Michael laugh at what he said
"Ok buddy," Michael said calming down a little
"Anyways what did ash want?" I asked when I finally calmed down.
"He said he wants to hang out today," Calum said, putting his phone back in his pocket.
"You said yes right?" Michael asked.
"Yes I did," Calum said continuing to eat.
"You're going right?" Michael asked. I was about to answer before Calum cut me off and said
"Yes, he is going whether he has practice or not." I looked at him because he answered so fast.
"I can't go," I said.
Both boys groan
"if you say you have your stupid practice today then I'm seriously going to fucking punch you," Micheal said in a joking manner.
"I'm just messing with you guys I can come," I said laughing a them a little.

I finally arrive at Ashton's house and hear loud music being played from inside the house. I knock on the door and wait for someone to answer. After a few seconds and no answer, I try to open the door and of course, it's unlocked. I walk into the house the music getting louder the farther I walk into the house.
"Hello?" I yell loudly trying to find where the music was coming from.
I walk over to the garage door and open it finding the three boys playing music. Mikey playing the guitar Cal playing the base and Ash playing the drums.
"What in the actual fuck is going on right now!" I yell
The three hear me and stop playing the music.
"Hey, Y/n!" Ashton yells and waves at me drumsticks in hand.
"What is going on?" I asked walking into the garage.
"We are thinking about starting a band," Calum says.
"Why?" I ask this catching me off guard and I start to giggle a little.
"Because why not," Michael says.
"And it has always been a dream of mine," Calum adds.
"Who came up with this idea?" I ask
Ashton then raises his hand.
"I did," he says proudly.
"And we want you to be the lead singer," Michael says like he's a salesman
"What?" I ask a little shocked and a little happy they even thought about me with this idea.
The thing about Micheal and Ashton is that they do things without thinking and don't quit until they get the results they want. It's a little annoying but weirdly super impressive.
"We all know you can sing," Calum adds trying to help Michael convince me
"Guys I can't," I say looking down at the floor before continuing "It sounds like a fun idea but I can't do that right now."
"Aww come on you can even play guitar too," Micheal says trying to convince me.
"Guys I really want to but I can't my dad would kill me if he found out that I was focusing on something other than football," I said still looking at the floor.
"Well, this is awkward," Calum says
"Anyways," Ashton says pausing for a moment "1 2 3 4," Ashton yells before they start playing again
I laugh at them and just watch in amusement
