When adulthood came, after Ahadi and Uru died of old age, Mufasa and Sarabi became a new king and queen of the Pride Lands. When they on the night hunt, she spotted Zira, now an adult, also on a hunt for prey. Almost every day though, Zira would join Sarabi and her sisters on a hunt. One day, while arrived on the Pride Rock, Scar (or Askari for his real name) was talked by Zazu, a hornbill and friend of King Mufasa.
"The evening hunting party has just left, they won't be back for quite a while." Zazu said. "I suggest you head for the den. The king wants speek to you, one-on-one."
"Alright." Scar said.
As soon as he entered in the den, his brother said to him. "Ah... Askari. We had thought Zazu might not be able to find you. Well... I glad to see you again. It was our parents' wish that you return home one day, so you have my blessing."
"Thank you..." Scar replied.
Mufasa then said. "Welcome home, Askari. I'm sure that Zazu told you what happend, with my Mom and Dad."
"He did," Scar said. "It hasen't really sunken in, yet."
"No, it hasen't for me either." Mufasa remarked, he then said. "I have to ask, have you-?"
Before Mufasa could ask something, Scar then said: "My mind is clear, now. The venom won't affect me again."
"You mean you sought healing?" Mufasa asked.
"Please, Mufasa, i'd rather not discuss my life in exile." Scar concerned. "I'm very ashamed of what i've done, that's lead to... To all this."
"Of course." Mufasa exclaimed. "I'm sorry, Askari."
"Oh no, do call me 'Scar'." Scar spoke. He then said to himself: "The name serves as a reminder of how reckless i was, and how kind my big brother has always been to me."
"*ehem* Right. Well, i'm sure you want to hear what's changed, in all this time you've been gone." Mufasa said.
Scar said. "Births and deaths, lions coming to going? And evidently our uncle found himself a wife."
Mufasa then smiled, and said: "You met Unomosa! She's from pride beyond the desert, settled here only couple of years ago. But... oh! Would you like to see the lair of Lion Guard? The paintings can fill you in on anything."
Sarabi then said, very worried: "Rafiki has made plenty of use of the space, even though it's not being used for... very much else."
"*sigh* Why not?' Scar said.
Mufasa and Sarabi took Scar to the lair of Lion Guard that he haven't been before.
"There's been a lot of marriges and pregnancies, lately." Mufasa said to the paintings. "Frankly, i think we're all a little young, but i think Kupatana put everyone in a celebratory mood. We've also had quite a few young lions leave of rove, and not many newcomers to make up the numbers."
"Yes, well." Scar concluded. "Circle of life, and what have you."
Sarabi then told Mufasa that it's getting late: "Mufasa, i think we should leave. It's getting late."
"Huh?" Mufasa spoked. "Oh yes, Sarabi's right. You see, Auni and his family have taken to sleeping in the lair, rather than climbing up to the den every night."
"Is that so?" Scar asked. "How has Auni been?"
Mufasa then answered, worried about Auni. "He's... not particularly well."
"What? Why not?" Scar asked curiously.
"I'll tell you when we're outside, i don't think he should meet you like this."
