"I've really never had to change anything about myself for a role, I'm always very much myself both on and off screen." Smiling kindly at the young girl awaiting another question should feel like a chore, but it always gave me a sense of euphoria. A feeling that nothing else could match, the feeling of want and need to be the best in the industry.
"Okay, last question. Who's been on repeat this month - which singer do you feel the most connected too at the moment." She smiled sweetly, moving the microphone closer to me awaiting an answer.
"Oh, good question." Starting to sway slightly trying to think of a reasonable answer, fingers twitching slightly as my mind went blank, "I seriously can't think of anyone at the moment, I've been so busy recently that I don't ever have the time to listen anything new." She only nodded, mostly seeming disappointed that I didn't answer what was most likely a personal question.
"Of course, you're a busy actor! Thank you for joining me here tonight, stay tuned in as next we'll be talking to Florence Pugh!" Spinning with just as much happiness as a child with candy, she continued to fill in whoever was watching with current news.
"No, thank you for having me." Everything went past a blur after that, making it into the venue and finding my seat was a lot harder than anticipated.
Waiting for my nomination was nerve raking, listening to the disappointment around me from other actors as their movies didn't win was always a downer, "Do you think I'm going to win?" turning to my costar, listening as he gave the same speech as my manager. Something along the lines of, it doesn't matter if we win or lose.. bluh bluh bluh.
"And, you performance was amazing. They'd be crazy for not giving you an award."
....
"And tonight's winner for Best Actress goes too," It felt likes years waiting for her to read the name, the stupid little piece of paper that decided my life goals and ambitions. All resting in between her fingers, "Y/n Y/l/n."
My body felt frozen, looking around as if I didn't hear it right. The lights seemed to have gotten brighter as people around me rose to their feet, their applauds seeming far in the distance having tunnel vision as tears started to form in my eyes.
"Holy shit," My words coming out as a whisper, standing to give my costars hugs already feeling the tears pool in my eyes. "Holy shit!" 23 years old, I was 23 years old and had just won Best Actress. Everything after accepting the award went past a blur, feeling like I was floating as more and more people came around congratulating me.
"Y/n!" A deeper voice called towards me, I'd been attempting to avoid those around feeling suddenly overwhelmed by everyone's presence, "Hey, congrats on the win."
The thick English accent was easy for me to pick out from the rest. Turning towards him with a smile on my face was something I could never get over, "Harry! How are you?"
Harry only laughed as he pulled me into a tight hug, "I've been good, what about you! You're movie was amazing, you did a great job with the character." I continued to smile brightly was he gushed over my now Award Winning performance.
"Thank you, it really means a lot. You're doing great for yourself too, I've heard the new album and I'm busting to see you're movies. I must admit, I was expecting something Rock in the new album." Nudging his shoulder in a joking way made him let out a deep laugh.
"So was I really, but you know sometimes the creativity takes you other places." Harry held our eye contact, taking a large sip of his drink.
"You'll always be a rock star to me, don't you worry big guy." Once again, Harry let out one of his half laughs moving his shoulders as he did.
"Anyone new in your life? When was the last time you had a partner, 2019 was it?" It was my turn to giggle, throwing my head back a loud laugh leaving my mouth.
"You know me, Styles. Never been good in relationships, they always go to the shits." My reply was short as I looked around the room, wanting to avoid eye contact with the tall brunette beside me.
"You're looking for love in the wrong people, Y/n."
"I know, I need someone like you. Someone that actually care about the significant other." A sigh left my lips, turning around to look at him finally.
"Well, if you'd like to accompany me; I'm going out for dinner with some old mates, you're welcome to be my date." My eyes widened at how easily asked me, without a second thought.
"I'd love to be a rock star's girlfriend, I'm in."
