Allie's POV:

After multiple failed attempts of getting to sleep I decide to head downstairs so I don't wake Lizzie. I tip toe around my room looking, grabbing my guitar, before quietly shutting the door. The sun had already set so I head out on to the porch. I settle down on the steps and rest my guitar on my lap. I start stumming it, whispering the words under my breath. About halfway through the song I get stumped. I don't know what to play next. The lyrics are all in my head, but I don't know what to play. I tap my fingers ton the neck of the guitar thinking, then trying out a few different cords that could go with it.

"Try B2 then G# minor." I look up to see Ana and Charles walking towards my hand in hand. She turns and whispers something to him. He walks past me, bidding me goodnight then walks into the house. Ana walks up to me sitting next to me on the steps. I play the cords, and she's right, the cords were right.

"Thank you." I almost whisper.

"I remember when you begged mama and dad to get you a guitar for months. Then when you opened it on your tenth birthday you went mental. Playing in any time of day all day, even though you didn't know a single cord yet. I spent months begging them to take it back off you." She reminisces, we both laugh at the memories.

"What about when you got that god awful recorder. It sounded like a dying cat." I laugh.

"I'm sorry." She says out of nowhere, "For leaving you, all of you. I didn't know you went through so much I should have been there for you." She looks into the distance.

"It's okay we can't change the past, trust me I learnt the hard way." I tell her swaying into her side; she looks at me and smiles. "I'm sorry it didn't work out between you and... Devin? He seemed like a good man." I speak.

"Daren and he was maybe a little too good for me. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you when Rebecca left you. You could have done with a sister to take you out clubbing and to drag your ass out of bed." She laughs at the last part.

"That was years ago. It's already forgotten." I reassure her.

"I'm sorry for being a dick to you for the past twelve years. I should have supported you when you came out, I'm really sorry. I am really proud of you. For everything you've done." She apologises with full sincerity. I don't know where all of this is coming from. She doesn't smell like alcohol, but it feels nice.

"So, friends again?" I ask.

"Huh, friends." She replies.

"So, Charles huh? He seems like quite the nope I can't do it the mans a head teacher. I don't know him well enough to complement him yet." I tried I really did but I couldn't do it.

"He's only in the first year he's still a teacher at heart. We've not officially got together yet. I told him I was going to Oxford to see my family and he asked if he could come because he's never been." She informs me.

"He seems like a nice man." I tell her. She looks at me and smiles.

"So, bringing Lizzie home to meet the family. That's a big step for you." She speaks.

"Yeah, I love her. I'm moving to LA to be with her, and we wanted our family's to know before the whole world, there are already photos of us kissing. That's why I'm here I need help looking at visa's. I'm thinking of going back to school getting a degree in Youth care or something." I explain to her.

"You really love her." She notices.

"I really do. She is my sun." I tell her.

"Moye Solntse." She whispers under breath.
