Jihoon heard the second round of gunshots that distracted him from the passionate work of art he was going to place on Junkyu's exposed neck. He had been straddling Junkyu, upon hearing the loud bangs, he stood up. With careful steps, he walked ahead, following the source of the sound. It seemed to come right outside the front door.
Jihoon was very cautious with his selection of location. He was pretty neat too. No one could actually suspect him watching how he lives or behaves. There was absolutely no way someone could actually pinpoint him, that too when he was busy with his victim. It was way too coincidental. Jihoon held up the knife in his hand, it wasn't much of a weapon, but enough to leave some scratches. Jihoon knew ways of escape. He could put it to use. Besides, he had the biggest power, a hostage. Even if anyone comes through the front door, he'd be the first one to reach Junkyu.
Jihoon held the doorknob as silently as he could. He didn't wanna give away the fact that he was away from his victim. He just had to check one thing. To see if the assaulters were really at his door or not.
Jihoon looked through the small round glass on the wooden door with his breath locked. There were three armed people with masks on, and two Jihoon recognised immediately. His jaws tightened as he stepped away from the door. He didn't know how, but he was cornered. He needed to go back to Junkyu, anytime they'd break the door. He needed to be the one in control.
As he was stepping back in pure silence, he heard the second click of gun. But it didn't come from outside. He heard it at the back of his head.
"Now." He heard a voice speak through some device and the door to his apartment opened seconds later. Jihoon couldn't struggle, because the guy behind him who was holding a Glock 19 right at his head, saw the small knife at his hand, and restrained his arm with brute force.
Jihoon saw 5 guys enter his den, and one of them was his old enemy.
"We meet again, little Ji." Spoke the guy.
-Flashback-
"Now, Sahi? What's the big plan? I can take an armed team to the front door. But how about Junkyu? How do you plan to save him?"
Hyunsuk's words spiralled in Asahi's head as he thought hard on how to make a fool proof approach not only to save Junkyu but also to catch the vile psychopath red handed. They had assets, they needed a good plan, one that Jihoon wouldn't be able to guess.
"The attack must come from both ways." He said. The people in the room agreed to that instantly.
"How though?" Asked Haruto, "You already said the window is not an option."
"We need a spy." Asahi said, "Someone who will stay in the house."
Hyunsuk frowned, "What do you mean?"
Asahi took a deep breath, then pointed at the print of the house, "There are three functional rooms here, one, the living room directly attached to the entrance. Two, the torture room, where Junkyu would be. And Jihoon's bedroom. From what you guys collected, it is the most used room."
Everyone waited for Asahi's next words. The Japanese didn't let them wait long, "There's a small bathroom and a kitchen. The small window at the back of the bathroom is blocked because there's another building right next to it. You can't possibly enter his place through that, can you?"
"What's your point actually?" Haruto asked, he was impatient from all the foretalks.
"There's no way you can enter through the kitchen either." Hyunsuk said, "We've seen it. There really is no other way, Sahi."
"I know that." Asahi smiled, "That's why I need you to focus now." He pointed at the kitchen, particularly the dusty counter, "We've seen filthy dirt in his place, but the dust on it, do you think he used his kitchen in the last few weeks?"
