A diary from Anne detailing her very lovely life down in avonlea
Work in progress this is my first story, so the grammar and everything may not be great. //my version of what I think should have happened after the last season//
I push my blue duvet off my bed and roll over to see the glorious morning light shine through my window,i jump up "todays the day my first day" , after a couple days of tours and getting to know everyone today is my first day at college,
"ANNE" Diana yells from the hallway, "YEAH?" I call back. "Anne were the blue dress with me today" she said walking into my room to search for the matching dress, "of course diana I'll be right back", I slip out the door and towards the changing room, "I'm so nervous" i sigh as I stare at my bright red hair, I inhale and begin to fix it into and pretty updo style.
"ANNE ARE YOU COMING" diana says from outside the door as i was a few minutes late, "YES" I yell back quickly as I throw my hair up and tie the last ties of the dress,I open the door an walk out doing a small spin "Anne you look amazing" ruby says in awe, "why thank you ruby" I say proudly as i smooth out wrinkles in my dress, "Anne you look great and I'm sure Gilbert will think so too".
"Diana..." I say with a small smirk "besides I don't even know if I have any classes with him so maybe I won't see him at all" i said thinking about the conversation we had three days ago, i sigh as I realize I do in fact want to see him, I actually miss him... "anne?" Diana said confused "anne are you feeling alright?", "oh yes!,I've never been better I'm just preoccupied with all the amazing things we're planning to do today".
"Anne,do you take me for someone who can't understand,it's ok to be nervous after all I'll be there", "Diana..you know me so well,your right i am nervous...", "wellll what are you nervous about" Diana said as she spun around in front of me prompting me to stop walking, "are you nervous about english" she said now spinning around making funny faces. "Or maybe that ruby will trip over the milk carton because she busy staring at a boy", Diana says hopping on one leg.
I finally let out a laugh, "ok, ok Diana you got me yes I'm just a bit nervous,what if Gilbert really isn't in any classes..", "do you are worried about seeing him hm", before Diana could say another word i spin around to notice Gilbert has been behind me "i-um-...I-.." I stutter too busy focused on his short black hair and tall stature, "Anne,I'm sorry didn't mean to startle you I was just wondering if you knew where the health building was".
"I'll leave you two alone" Diana says with a smirk "Diana wait-..." but diana already began to walk away, "I'm sorry,is this a bad time for you.." Gilbert said looking slightly hurt. "No,no I just...I'm not exactly sure where the building is" I look down at the small printed map I had of the campus I had in my hands, realizing I also had to go to the same location. "I actually have to walk there as well," I said nervously... "I could accompany you if you'd like" Gilbert said with a warm smile

"Of course,I'd love the company" i said realizing that maybe I should, we start walking on the cobblestone path to the nearest building to ask directions, "so anne how are you liking this place so far? Isn't it just gorgeous?" Gilbert said looking around, "it is beautiful isn't it, i sure wish Matthew and martilla could see this we didn't have these types of trees back at green gables" I do a slow spin in front of Gilbert as I grab a small leaf from the tree in front of him, "isn't this leaf just gorgeous I can only imagine all the seasons it's been through,all the people it's seen,oh how wonderful it must be to be a tree" i said now placing the leaf in the collar of his shirt.
"I love the way your imagination works anne,so unique" i blush at the thought of Gilbert finding my thinking inspiring, "anne?" Gilbert said Turning to make "yes Gilbert?", "I wanted to talk to you about what I said the other day...", "oh of course", "I wanted to say I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable with my words, if I offended you in anyway I-.." I cut him off with a soft kiss.
"Gilbert you didn't offend me...I- I just didn't know what to say after all I've...I've never had something like this before", "neither have I... well,we'll do what we always do and come up with it as we go, after all anne you are the most spontaneous person I know" he said holding his hand out,i put my hand in his as we finally reach the health building and a group of more students.
"WELCOME,WELCOME ar- ARE WE ALL HERE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN" a small frail woman in a very frilly dress said, "alright alright, I am miss,fitzgeralds and this is ms,Stacy I'm sure some of you know who she is as she is a new transfer from down in avonlea, we are going to divide you all into two groups male and female, ms.Stacy will have the girls,and I will have the boys,now hurry along into the classrooms", i turn to Gilbert to say a goodbye, "anne before I go.. would you like to take a walk with me to the bakery in charlottestown on Tuesday?.." I stare in shock as this is my first ever possible date with thee Gilbert blythe.
"Of course I would like too" i said with a large smile, "ok well don't forget it" he says placing a small kiss on my cheek before walking into the other classroom, i sigh and take my seat in my new classroom.
