Third Person's POV:
Kim Cho Rong chowed down his bowl of hot ramen making weird noises while Han seojun just sat there, phone tightly griped in his hand as he sighed for the millionth time. Ji ah still had not seen any of his texts let alone replied to them or give her a call.
"I didn't think you were the type to lose your sanity for a girl," Kim Cho Rong pronounced with a stuffed mouth.
He's right! Han seojun was losing it! He was just so distracted all the time. Because all he could think about was her, even now looking at this Ramen reminded him of her, those Ramen+Chill movie nights in his living room with Ji ah cuddled up beside him even though they were not a couple at that time.
Since the day she broke up with him, the moment Han seojun exited her room, he had been expecting a reconciliation. That's what they always did, right? after every little heated argument they had, both of them always apologized to each other. That's what he was hoping this time too but it never happened. Ji ah was not even seeing his texts let alone reply to them. Han seojun had been trying his best to stick around but Ji ah... she didn't budge an inch.
Even at school, she had been acting out of character, her laughter was a bit too loud, and her smile a bit too wide. Clinging to the other girls all the damn time, not leaving their side, not even for a single second. All of this just to avoid the mere sight of him, it hurt more than anyone could ever imagine. The school was the only place where he could see her otherwise he was not going to get a glimpse of her.
Just by recalling all that could feel his chest growing tight and a pang surging in his heart, watching your existence dissolve into thin air for the person who matters to you the most is so heartbreaking. But Han seojun was not going to give up, that was the only reason why he showed up at the study sessions, just to be ditched by Ji ah. She dodged him two times in a row by skipping out on the sessions intentionally, and that's how he ended up sulking in this convenience store.
"I didn't either" he replied with a gloomy, sad smile with his eyes still fixated on the untouched food before him.
"You're in love dude!" Kim Cho Rong exclaimed slurping on his noodles.
The first time it occurred to him that he might have fallen in love with Hwang Ji ah, was when he had to sing in the music class and Ji ah played the piano. That day he felt that sometimes a tiny moment turns out to be the most significant moment of your life, that sometimes a little gesture, a little kindness by someone turns out to be enough to make you fall in love with them and that's what happened that day in the music room.
But that was just a gut feeling, the second time this thought crossed his mind was when he kissed her and told Kim Cho rong that he had kissed her out of love. Besides all the scheming and plotting one's brain does, in weak, vulnerable moments, the heart takes control and rules over all your senses and consequently all your actions. And that's exactly what happened when Han seojun blurted out that he had kissed her out of love, but at that time it was still a possibility.
