*Akiha POV*
"I'm telling you, I don't know where they are," Shiki explains.
"What do you mean you don't know where they are? They're supposed to be watching you, so once again, where are they? You know I don't like it when you lie to me..." I calmly say, trying to maintain my composure.
"Fine... they're playing in the bathroom on the 2nd floor," he states.
"They're... excuse me, what?" I ask, skeptical of what he's saying.
"They hooked up a tv in the bathroom... and they're playing it. At least, that's what they told me," Shiki says.
"Why would they... ugh, I've got to have a word with those two," I state, walking up the stairs.
As I walk up the stairs to find them, I start wondering what their punishment would be. I could cut their pay... wait, I already did that last week. If I cut their pay anymore, they'd be paying me. So, I need to come up with a special punishment this time.
I SPECIFICALLY told them to keep an eye on Shiki... and there he was, unattended! What if he left the house again, they're so irresponsible!
As I approach the door, I hear their voices coming from within the bathroom.
"K-Kohaku, is t-this how I do it?"
"Yes Hisui, right there..."
What... what are they doing in there? I was told they were playing a game, but they sounded like they were... Agh, no, I've gotta keep my mind out of the gutter. They're sisters, they wouldn't be doing stuff like that... would they? No no, I can't be distracted, I'm here to punish them!
I approach the door, and bust it down with a single, light kick. As soon as I enter, the two of them freeze in place.
"Uh... h-hello Lady Akiha. Y-you're home early..." Hisui mutters.
"Yes, I am. Now forgive me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure you two were supposed to be doing something right now? Like, watching a certain someone to make sure they don't leave?" I ask, wearing a cold smile on my face.
"Well... uh, you see... Shiki told us you'd be home in 2 hours," Kohaku nervously chuckles, obviously trying to calm me down.
"You're lucky he didn't decide to leave, so your punishment won't be as severe... but that doesn't mean I'm letting you two off easy," I warn, and while Hisui seems worried, Kohaku looks oddly calm.
"Lady Akiha, this was all my idea. So please, if someone must be punished, punish me, and leave Hisui out of it," Kohaku says, with a serious look in her eye. Hearing that gives me a flashback to the past, back when my father was around.
He would often punish them for the littlest things, but Kohaku would always take the brunt of it to protect Hisui. The things she had to endure... the things that bastard did to her, its no wonder she hated our family for so long. The way she jumped in just then... am I becoming like him?
I... I never wanted that... no, I refuse to become anything like him! I feel tears beginning to form within my eyes as these thoughts float around in my head.
"L-Lady Akiha, are you alright?" Hisui asks, concerned for me.
"Kohaku... I'm sorry," is all I say as I turn around.
"What? Lady Akiha, what're you- wait, are you crying?" Kohaku asks, walking towards me.
"It's just... the looks in your eyes, Kohaku's response, it brought back memories of... him. Be honest with me... do you hate me? I've realized that I've been slowly acting more like him, and I hate it," I state, still unable to maintain eye contact.
"Lady Akiha... the fact that you're even concerned about this shows that you're infinitely better than he ever was. So please, don't be so hard on yourself," Kohaku says, resting her hand on my shoulder.
"Y-yeah, you may act harsh sometimes, but it's clear that you truly care about us. Even when we just clearly abandoned our duties, you're still being fair. We couldn't ask for a better master. It's why we love you," Hisui says, resting her hand on the other shoulder.
"Hisui! You weren't supposed to tell her that..." Kohaku whispers, sounding embarrassed.
I am finally ready to look into their eyes again, and find myself blushing.
"That's a very bold declaration, you two. That's not something to just say so casually," I reply, scoffing. They're probably just trying to make me feel better.
"Fine, then I'll say it seriously. We love you, Lady Akiha..."
Kohaku actually looks serious for once, and Hisui looks like she's ready to fall over out of embarrassment, so are they actually being truthful here? No, there's got to be some other angle here that I'm missing. I suppose I can run a little test to see how truthful they're being.
"You claim to love me, now you must show me that you love me. My room, now," I command. It takes both of them a few seconds to process what I said. It seems to excite Kohaku, while Hisui just gets more flustered.
"O-okay, her and I have been practicing for this for weeks now... we'll be sure to knock your socks off," Hisui states.
"And if we're lucky, the rest of your clothes, too!" Kohaku exclaims, wearing a goofy smile on her face.
I only suggested this as a test, but they seem ready to go. I suppose if they're willing, then I'll fully test their dedication...
*10 minutes later, Shiki POV*
It's been a bit, and the fact that none of them have come down yet is concerning. I really hope she doesn't be too hard on them. Maybe I should go check on them just in case-
"No can do, pretty boy! That area is currently off limits, nya!" I hear an irritating voice appear in front of me. It's never a good sign when Neco-Arc shows up.
"I don't have time for your games right now, get out of my way," I warn.
"Nuh uh, can't do that. Those three are having fun times up there, and the author sent me to make sure they're uninterrupted," she replies, nonsensically.
"Author? What're you talking about?" I ask, trying to process this cats incessant ramblings.
"They're doing the do, eating the carpets, tasting the rainbow! It's a sacred act, and must not be disturbed, lest you tempt the wrath of the requester!" She ridiculously exclaims.
"Ugh, what are you even saying?!" I respond frustrated.
"Hey, don't get mad at me pal, I'm just doing my job. We originally had a sex scene here, but the author didn't particularly like how it went, so I was sent to give this chapter a gag to end on instead. Now why they didn't want to end this chapter with the characters it was based on is beyond me, but it's not my job to question their decisions," she keeps rambling, still not making any sense.
Though I suppose she never does, so I shouldn't be so surprised. But wait, a sex scene? Are the three of them-
"Yep, that is what I said. Sadly we can't see it, maybe in a second part later down the line. Though that won't be for a while, as the next chapter will probably be 'Whisper You a Love Song' chapter. Well, I'm just dragging this out at this point, so I'll declare this the end of the chapter, bye!"
