"How does this even make sense?!" Robin argued with his math homework.

"Robin cool it, you've been stuck on that problem for almost an hour, take a break man." I suggested before going back to my sketchbook.

I usually stayed at robins since there wasn't anything better to do. Plus his uncles pretty cool.
I'd rather be here than with my old man.

"That's it, I'm calling Finney." Robin said with frustration as he picked up the telephone dialing button numbers.

I was working on a new sketch of mine. This one was different than all my others which is odd because I can never figure out what to draw anymore, I always just end up drawing the same thing.
But I just drew what came to my mind first.

"Alright, he's on his way." Robin informed sitting beside me on his bed. I was focused a lot on this drawing and put a lot of effort into it.

Robin tried to sneak a quick look at it as I pulled it away fast.
He scoffed, "C'mon, you always let me see your other drawings. Why can't I see this one?"

"Because.." I replied still working.
"Becauseeee..?" He said waiting for my response
Which obviously I didn't reply.

He kept pressuring me to tell him what I was doing until we heard a light knock on the door. Finney.

Robin sprung up and opened the door.
"Hey, so uh you need help with math again?" I heard a delicate voice say.

"Yeah, come in." Robin spoke as I eavesdropped.
Before I knew it the boys came into the room. Looked over to see finney looking straight at me with his perfect pointed features.

He gave me a small corner smile before breaking the eye contact.
I took the pen out of my mouth as I added more details to the paper. Every now and then I'd look up to see them working- well when Robin wasn't getting distracted they were working.

As the sun went down we saw the lamp posts go off. Leaving the streets lit up. That was my curfew to be home.

"I should head home." I stated as I packed my bag
"Yeah me too. Gotta be home for dinner and I can't leave Gwen alone.." Finney said throwing his bag over his shoulder roughly.

"Alright, well, I'll see you guys tomorrow, and uh thanks Finn." Robin smiled as they did a tiny hand shake. It was kinda cute not gonna lie.

"Hey, uh, make sure she gets home safe." Robin said with a slight laugh knowing that he was being sarcastic.

I rolled my eyes, "Yeah right, I'll be making sure he gets home safe." I said with a small smile escaping my lips.
I look over at him to see a tiny smile on the edge of his mouth.

As we walked out the door he was quiet as usual. I figured, if we're gonna be walking home together I might as well start a conversation so it's not awkward the whole 7 minutes.

"Sooo uh finney, you play any sports?" I asked awkwardly.
"Oh, uh yeah. I play baseball." He responded with a bit of embarrassment in his voice.

"Oh really? That's cool, what position?" I asked again keeping up the conversation
"I pitch." He said glancing at me for a second.

"Really? I didn't take you much of a pitcher" I said with curiosity.

"What place did you think I played?" He asked now looking at me with a slight chuckle.

"I kinda took you as a batter." I said with confidence.
He giggled putting his hand above his face softly.

"What?" I asked questioning his motions.
"Eleanor, everyone bats." he said with another one of his soft laughs revealing his perfect teeth.

"Oh.. Well that's embarrassing.." We both laughed passing houses.

"Hey uh, how'd you know my name?" I asked since I've never really introduced myself.

"Oh- well everyone kind knows your name." He said shrugging his shoulders
"Hm? How?" I mumbled. Clearly knowing the already answer.

He paused before speaking "Vance. He was the scariest kid in school .. And-" He said but paused.

"The grabber.." I finished for him.

We both were looking down to the floor now.
"Yeah" he said airy

"Sorry about that by the way." He said lifting his head up to meet mine.

"Yeah .. I miss him sometimes you know. Even if he was a complete dick to me half the time he was around .. He was my brother." I said getting disgusted by my own sob story. Gosh, why am I being so sad right now?

"Don't say was. He is your brother." Finney said with a sad smile on his face.
I nodded to his sentence. He is my brother.

Finney looked behind me stopping in his tracks. "This is my stop." He said with an adorable grin.
"Uhm I-I'll see ya tomorrow Eleanor. " He continued with slight pink cheeks as he ran up the steps opening the door.

I smiled.
Thinking, are we  friends?

As I walked through my door hearing the loud creaks of the frames. I saw my dad with a half full vodka bottle in his hand. I was surprised he was even cautious.

"Hey Ellie .. That you~?" He slurred with a belch in between sentences.

"Yeah, Yonis it's me" I said annoyed.

"Hey! I told you to call me dad!" He angrily spoke.
I hated referring to him as my dad. To me, he wasn't a functioning human being at all.

But I was too scared to say no to anything he said. I had no one there to back up for me.

"Okay .. Dad." I spoke with a stern voice.

I went to my room plopping onto my bed lifelessly.
I hit the light switch and stared at the ceiling closing my eyes slowly.
