Ch 5:Time to Recharge

Kai Pov

We flew through the rain with the Elekid in my arms to the Pokémon Center where my mom worked. We landed and I ran inside.

Mom:Kai. What's going on?

Kai:This Elekid was abused by his trainer. He's covered in some pretty bad scars. Please help it.

Mom:I'll do what we can.

She walked over to the computer.

Mom:We need a stretcher for a small electric Pokémon stat!

The Blissey and Audino came out with a stretcher. I put the Elekid on the stretcher and they ran to the ER. All Might, Izuku, and Ryuko headed home for some rest and said that they would come back tomorrow to help me train the Elekid. I waited in the Center hoping for my mom to come back with some good news. I let Javelin out of his Pokéballs to have him relax a bit and play with Jet Stream. My mom walked out taking her medical mask off with a sigh.

Kai:So how are they?

Mom:Well...I have no idea if he'll mentally recover before he evolves.

Kai:Why?

Mom:Some Pokémon go through so much trauma as their first stage that sometimes after evolution they stop listening to their trainers all together. When they do listen it's against a opponent that they see as worthy to fight.

Kai:I see... poor guy. Will he be fully recovered by tomorrow? The reason why I ask is because I challenged his trainer that states that he's weak, and I wanna prove him wrong by beating him with his "weak" Pokémon.

Mom:I see...well I don't know... but we'll just have to wait and see.

We went home and when we got home I introduced my mom to Javelin.

Mom:He's a gorgeous bird, but how does he do in battle?

Kai:Pretty well. He helped redirect big Pokémon from a stampede back into the forest.

Mom:What?

Kai:I've been training with All Might and Ryuko after they saved me and Izuku from a horde of Muk. So they helped teach our Pokémon new moves and how to control Jet Stream's outrage.

Mom:Really? Well I'll have to thank her in person. Until then let's get some food in you guys. I bet you're starving.

Kai:Yeah.

The night went on like usual as did the day by going to school. After school I headed to the Pokémon center were the Elekid was being charged up by my mom's car battery.

Kai:Hey!

The Elekid looked towards my direction curiously.

Izuku:It's awesome to see that you're all right.

Elekid looked to Izuku then to me again and looked at the ground sadly.

Kai:What's wrong?

Elekid then hugged me crying.

Kai:Hey it's okay. That kid doesn't know what he's missing.

All Might:That's right. Despite your flaws Elekid you can become a Electavire which is really powerful.

Ryuko:That's very true. And I don't necessarily use Electric type Pokémon.

Mom:Oh! You must be Ryuko.

Ryuko:That I am.

Mom:Thank you for training my son's Larvitar.

Ryuko:Don't worry about it. It was my pleasure.
