Ch 22:Code name Risky

In the days off we had after the sports festival, we were to let our Pokémon's injuries recover, and then we would start regular classes again today in that time I actually got to know Shoto. Apparently him and his siblings were born through something called a elite marriage. I don't know much about it, but from what I understand two people with specialties with one Pokémon type get married and once the member in question steps down the child will literally take their place no questions asked. To know that he had that kind of weight on his shoulders thanks to Endeavor pissed me off. As I was spaced out Jetstream patted me on the shoulder trying to get my attention.

Kai: What is it buddy?

Jet Stream pointed towards the building as if to say that we're here.

Kai:Oh. Thanks buddy.

I got out and headed to class as per the usual. I made it to the classroom and sat down because knowing Mr.Aizawa he'd want everyone to sit down and shut up. I got out my Pokédex and decided to pick what I should have on my team for today other than Jet Stream and Ruby. I decided to bring Reef, Cinder, Igneel, and Angela the get them caught up with the others in the terms of training.

Davey:It feels weird to be noticed in public...

Sakura: You have no idea... Especially by boys...

Kai: I kinda do honestly, but it's the opposite gender. Kinda creepy...

Just then I heard the door open.

Aizawa:Morning...

1-A:Good morning!

Aizawa:Today we're having
a special trainer informatics class today. You'll need code names. You'll be coming up with your trainer names along with your trainer class.

1-A:We're gonna do something exciting!

Gangar came out of Mr.Aizawa's shadow eerily.

Aizawa:This is related to the champions draft picks I mentioned the other day. The drafts begin in earnest in the second and third years, after students have gained experience and can become immediate assets to the champions and their leagues. In other words, for them to extend offers to first years like you shows that they are interested in your future potential. These offers are often cancelled if that interest dies down by graduation.

Mineta:Adults are so selfish!

Hagakure:So we'll have to prove ourselves once we get picked, huh?

Aizawa:That's right. And here are the totals for those with offers.

I looked at the offers and saw that I had only two which I found odd, but took with a grain of salt.

Aizawa:In other years, it's been more spread out, but all eyes were on Bakugo and Todoroki this year.

I sighed knowing that I'll have to see what champions are willing to take me and put it down to a coin toss.

Aizawa:Keeping these results in mind, whether or not anyone asked for you, you will all be participating in internships with pros. At the USJ, you already got to experience combat with real villains, but it will still be meaningful training for you to see champions at work firsthand.

Davey:So that explains the early code names.

Sakura nodded in agreement as Jet Stream and I payed close attention.

Aizawa:Well, those code names and trainer classes are still temporary, but if you're not serious about it...

I heard the door to the classroom opened up.

???:You'll have hell to pay later!

I looked to the door to see Midnight walking in

Midnight:Because a lot of hero names used by students become recognized by society, and they end up becoming their professional code names!

Aizawa:Well, that's how it is. So Midnight will be making sure your names are okay. I can't do stuff like that.

He instantly grabbed his sleeping bag and went to sleep. I instantly started to brainstorm name ideas with Jet Stream tuning out most of the classes names for themselves.

Davey: I'll be Coeus the Engineer of the Future.

(Coeus was the Greek titan of Intellect & the Axis of Heaven.)

Midnight: Cleaver! You used your new trainer class as part of your name.

Sakura: Willow the Hex Maniac.

(This is a callback to RWBY's Willow and how both Hex Maniacs and Willow have a shit ton of R34. I'm not mad or kink shaming you guys, but you guys are freaks)

Midnight: Fitting in every bit of honesty.

Izuku:Deku the Black Belt. However this name is subjective to change in the future.

I honestly didn't know what to go with because Dragon Tamer doesn't seem right. After 10-20 minutes I suddenly remembered that Ace Trainers exist, so I went off that.

Kai:Now for the name... Ace? Nah, too basic... Wait a minute! My last name is risk in Kantoan so...

I wrote down my code name then headed to the front of the class.

Kai:This name is fitting because in Kanto my last name means risk, so I decided on Risky the Ace Trainer.

Midnight: Interesting...I can see that staying for good.

I gave a light chuckle.

Aizawa:Now that everyone's decided
on their code names and trainer classes, we'll go back to talking about the internships. They will last for a week. As for where you'll have them, those who had offers from champions, gym leader, Elite four, etc will be given your own lists, so you can choose from those yourself. Those who didn't have offers will choose from among forty agencies around the globe that will be accepting our interns. They all work in different places and have different specialties.

Midnight:For example, Thirteen would be focused on making her Pokémon defensive, and go with someone like Whitney from Johto.

Aizawa:Think carefully before you choose.

1-A:Yes, sir!

Mr.Aizawa and Midnight left the room.

Aizawa:Turn in your choices before the weekend.

Sero:We only have two days?

Aizawa:Yep...Make your decision efficiently. Dismissed. Also if you want to catch Pokémon in the region you're going to you can bring only one Pokémon that is in that region's Pokédex.

I instantly started to look at the two places where I could potentially go. These were Kanto interning under Red or this other region called the Kaskade Region under this guy named Cleary.
