Harry;
As soon as we apparated back to the school grounds, Ginny began pulling Me toward the castle, refusing to let go of my hand.
I wasn't sure about how I felt anymore. I mean, Ginny did come to me and make sure I was okay.
She knew where to look for me, out of all the places I could be, and she knew.
If she still knew where I would be after so long apart, she'll always know.
How stupid am I, there is no way I can ever leave her. She'd only come and find me, why run from someone who will only follow? And if she follows me, that means she still likes me. Right?
A weight felt like it had been lifted from my shoulders, I knew what I needed to do now, with no more war to fight I can focus now in what really matters, ginny.
Turning too look at her I realised she had let go of my hand and stopped, she just stood staring at the castle.
"Ginny? Are you alright?"
She stood silently for a few seconds before saying quietly "it's just....strange....for the past year this school was a living hell. I kept thinking that even when the war was over, I wouldn't be able to stand seeing it again, because of all those bad memories. But now.....all I can think of is how it saved us."
"Saved us?" I said, looking at her inquisitively.
"We'll look at it. All that damage, the walls that fell because they were protecting us. The room of requirement has saved more lives during the year than any teacher. This castle is still home. I just don't understand how i can forget everything that happened so easily"
She turned to look at me with unshed tears glistening in her eyes. I sighed and put my hand softy against her cheek,
"I think....I think that maybe it's strange....be - because you thought that the presence of the death eaters wouldn't leave. But you've looked beyond what they did. You're looking now at the heart of the castle. And as strange as it may sound....maybe you see the castle as I do. Almost as a parent. And now that you've seen how much the castle protects us, you don't need to remember all the hurt, because every time you're at the castle, your last memory will be of protection."
I stroked my thumb over her cheek, wiping away any shed tears, then pulled her close.
She laughed and pulled away, clearing her throat and said jokingly "bet no one ever thought that a load of bricks could mean so much to people"
I laughed lightly and took her hand in mine once again, pulling her toward the castle.
"C'mon Gin, let's get back. I think I've already worried your mum enough today after walking out. And No doubt people will start commenting on how long we've been away"
She laughed and said mockingly,
"And by people, you mean Fred an -"
"And George, yes. Your mother may have let it slide this morning, but twice in one day? Doubtful. All it takes is one comment and we'll never be aloud alone again!"
"Well in that case, race ya!"
" oh it's on!"
