* a little update on time and how old jahvea is, it's needed for this chapter, i guess. jahvea is four months. meaning it has been two months since the whole kyla situation.

they got movers this time, and vea was very grateful for that. she sat in the middle of the living room floor in cleo's house with jahvea in between her legs. she had her legs spread so he couldn't try to get away from tummy time. he was advancing more and more by the day and almost able to flip himself completely over. the reason she wasn't helping move at the new house is that she'd been really tired recently, a serious lack of energy.

"what's bothering you, dear?" cleo asked.

vea shrugged. "i don't know. i've just been very tired lately. i don't know if it's postpartum or what, but i'm exhausted."

"you think you could be pregnant again?"

vea furrowed her eyebrows. she hasn't had a normal period since she had jahvea so there would be no sure way to suspect anything. cleo took her silence as an answer, she grabbed her keys and walked to the front door.

"i'm going to buy you some tests."

"hey princess." jahseh greeted when vea walked into the house with the baby in her arms. he grabbed the baby bag from her shoulder and set it down before embracing her in a warm hug. before she knew it, she was crying again. he pulled away from the hug, confused, but he grabbed jahvea and went to put him upstairs. when he came back down, vea was still crying.
"what's wrong baby?" he asked.

"i'm pregnant again." vea sniffed.

jahseh furrowed his eyebrows. "do you not.. want to be?"

vea shook her head quickly. "that's- that's not it. i'm just a little shocked. and scared. we'll have two under two."

he chuckled a little bit at her realization. "you're the best mom ever, vea. we got this baby."

"i know it's just.." she sighed, wiping her tears. "i'll call my ob in the morning."

"for right now though. let's go lay down and watch a movie. i'm so tired." he said. he grabbed her hand and they walked up the stairs. she was surprised that everything was set up already, the only thing left to be unpacked was their clothes. that'll definitely be saved for another day.

they both got into the bed, cuddled together. vea didn't realize how tired she was until her face was on the pillow. "it's been such a long day." she sighed.

jahseh kissed her forehead. "get some sleep my love."

she yawned, nestling herself closer to her husband. "i love you, jah."

"i love you more princess."

the words that had come from the doctor's mouth minutes ago had vea jawdropped and speechless. she rubbed her hand over her stomach and looked at the ultrasound pictures in her hands.

baby a. baby b.

twins.

her phone started to ring, and she answered it seeing it was a call from jahseh. "hello?"

"hey baby. where you at?"

"leaving the doctor's office. i need to talk to you in person. are you still in the studio?" she asked, already about to drive in that direction.

"i am." he sounded worried. "what's wrong?"

"nothing's wrong, baby's fine. i just need to see you." she tried not to say too much.

"alright then. see you soon." the call ended and vea drove the short distance to the studio. when she arrived, she walked straight into the room since the red light wasnt on. jahseh, stokeley, gabe and michael were sitting around talking.

"hey wifey." jahseh said and grabbed her hand to steer her back toward the door. no one but cleo knew she was pregnant again, and vea wanted to keep it that way at least until the gender reveal.

they walked outside and vea handed jahseh the emvelope with the ultrasound pictures in it. he opened it quietly and while he was looking at the pictures, she watched his eyes go big.

"there's.." he started and vea smiled. "there's two! vea you're having twins!"

he pulled her into a tight hug, spinning her around in the parking lot. one thing vea always loved about jahseh is how much he loved children, and now their dreams are coming true together.
