I followed the crowd up the steps and into the grand hallway. I blended in as much as I could but I could not avoid the whispers.
"Last night's does was like a dream. Tonight's dress is simply breathtaking." I heard a group of girls.
"Who is her designer?" asked one lady to another.
"I want that dress Daddy!" whined a spoiled blond. The dress she wore tonight looked almost like the one I wore the night before, but it did it look right on her.
The men around me just gasped and I got evil glares from the older women. I sort of enjoyed the attention, but at the same time I craved my kitchen. Devon walked by with a tray of drinks I grabbed one, then he winked at me and I gave him a questionable look.
"Good evening Lady Hazel." I turned to see Jason, he bowed. "I am to escort you to Prince Jasper."
"Thank you," I said in my normal voice, taking his arm. He walked slow, but then quickened his pace when he found me taking quicker steps.
"Lady Hazel, has arrived your majesty." said Jason in bow and then leaving me in a room full of the royal family.
"Hazel! Your are here!!" said Jasper, in a most excited tone. "Wow!"
"OH my!!" exclaimed King Aires.
"You are simply breathtaking my dear," said Queen Lilly.
"Thank you." I whispered and blushed turning my head to the right out of habit. When I looked back Jasper was grinning like a fool. I melted like chocolate on fingers looking in his eyes. Oh how I just wish I could kiss him right now. Just looking at him rose feeling I never knew I would ever feel.
"Lady Hazel, we would like you to join us at the royal family dinner table tonight," said King Aries breaking the bond Jasper and I were locked in.
"I would be honored, King Aries." I said looking him in the eyes. My hand touched my chest just under neck once again out of habit.
Prince Jasper offered me his arm and I gladly took it. We then walked to the dining area. The whole place was filled with other guests. They all stood as we walked in, once we were seated the guests sat too. I was a custom to this, growing up the court our guests had to wait for the king to sit. He waited for his wife and daughters to be seated first. It was a comfort I knew well.
I looked around the table to see who else shared our arrangements. In the middle of our long table sat King Aries and Queen Lilly. To the Kings left sat Jasper and I sat next to Jasper. I did not know the lady I sat next to, but she had shoulder length brown hair and puppy brown eyes. Her skin was tan, and her dress was a dark purple. The man on the other side of her, had short brown hair and blue eyes, and a scar on his chin, he was dressed to match her. To the Queens right sat Prince Sterling, and a lady I did not know. She had blond hair and blues eyes, she looked like the Queen but much younger. Next her was a lady I knew but could not place. And then at the end of the long table sat, my father.
"Lady Hazel, let me introduce to you our table," said King Aries. He then pointed to each member as he said there names. "At the end of the table theyq is my Brother Casper and his wife Cali. You know my son, Jasper, myself king Aries, my wife Queen Lilly...."at this point the Queen backhanded the Kings arm and scoffed. The king continued down the the line like nothing happened. "OW! My other son Sterling, my daughter Amethyst, Lady Amber of Azalea , and... Lord Leopold of Azalea."
"Hello." I smiled and wiggled my fingers down the long table at each name. "It's nice to meet you."
"Welcome to the royal table." Cali leaned over and whispered close to me. "In case you did not know, Aries thinks he is funny."
