Mission 7: The Ritual

Izuku reaches the top of the tower, where Vergil sat, awaiting his arrival.

Izuku: "Hey Vergil. Your kidnapping days are over. Now give me my children."

Vergil: "Your daughter may leave peacefully. But if you want Nero, then you'll have to take him. But you already knew that."

Izuku: "I had a feeling you'd say that."

Vergil stands up, holding Nero in his arms. Nero sees Izuku and gets excited.

Nero: "DAHTE!! (DANTE!!)"

Izuku: "Hey little buddy. (To Vergil) Where's Eri?"

Vergil points to a pillar, where Eri was sitting.

Izuku: "ERI!!"

Eri: "PAPA!!"

Eri runs to Izuku, and the two embrace in a hug before Izuku looks back at Vergil.

Izuku: "Go with Melissa and Ochaco. Nero's gonna join you guys soon."

Eri: "What's gonna happen?"

Izuku: "Just go."

The three leave, leaving the Sons of Sparda alone, on top of the tower. Rebellion and Yamato appear with their users, and the brothers stare each otherr down.

Izuku: "Well brother, I think it's time we finish this, once and for all."

Vergil: "Yes, I think it's about time as well."

Izuku: "You wanna make the first move, or should I?"

Vergil: "How about on three?"

Izuku: "Three."

The two clash, their blades producing blinding sparks. At superhuman speed, they slash so fast, they make a small bubble, cutting the rain, and making them dry. When they stop, the rain falls back down on them, dropping Vergil's hair down. The twochargesat each other, until a rocket shoots down in front of them, knocking down the two brothers. Looking up, Izuku sees Lady jump down, with a pissed-off look.

Lady: "Where the hell is Arkham!?"

Vergil: "How should I know?!"

Izuku: "Get out of here Lady! This isn't your fight!"

The three clash with each oteach other Izuku and Vergil's blood spilling all over the floor. Lady attempts to impale Vergil with Kalina Ann, only for Izuku to grab her, and throw away from the fight. Lady pulls out her grappling gun and brings herself back to the fight, where the brothers activate their Devil Triggers. The three clash once again, with them all now facing each other, a look of rage on everyone's face. A slow clapping is heard, and the three turn around to see Arkham walk out from the shadows.

Vergil: "What are you doing here?"

Arkham: "Isn't this a beautiful night? A family reunion. For you, and me."

Vergil: "What're you talking about?"

Arkham: "The ritual required enough blood from both of the Sons of Sparda. The final ingredient is now needed as well."

The three now surround Arkham, with their weapons focused on him, realizing he's their true final enemy.

Izuku: "And that being?"

Arkham: "Someone who shares the blood of the sacrificed human."

Vergil: "What sacrificed human?"

Arkham then swiftly takes them all down, piercing Lady's leg with a blade of his own.

Arkham: "Her mother."

The tower begins to shake, making the three fall. As they land at the bottom, Rebellion impales Izuku through his chest. A little while later, Izuku awakens to find Vergil pulling Rebellion out. He helps his brother up, and they meet up with Lady, who was bandaging her leg.

Izuku: "Brilliant plan Vergil. Get a psycho to help make you the Demon King. No way THAT could go wrong!"

Vergil: "My plan wasn't to become the Demon King. Is was supposed to send me to the Underworld to harvest the powers of the Qliphoth fruit."

Izuku: "Oh WOW! Even better! Sacrifice hundreds, no, THOUSANDS of innocent lives to harvest power."

Vergil: "Foolish as always. Power is everything, Dante. Without it, you can't possibly consider protecting those you love, let alone yourself. Besides, humans are inferior beings to us. We are the strongest beings in the Four Realities, you shouldn't waste so much energy on them."

Izuku: "So what? I'm just supposed to sit back and watch them all die?"

Vergil: "Yes."

Lady: "Enough talking. Izuku, me, and you are going back up there to kill him."

Izuku: "Vergil's coming too."

Lady: "No, he isn't."

Izuku: "We need his help."

Lady: "Why him though? We can take him on."

Vergil: "He has opened a fragment of the Hell Gate. With it open, Limbo could spill into the Human Realm. Only the Yamato has the power to close it."

Lady: "Then give it to us. I don't want you anywhere near me."

Vergil: "Your body won't be able to handle the Nephilim Powers, and Dante's too......Dante for me to hand over Yamato."

Izuku: "Oh trust me Vergil. She can handle the powers of a Nephilim."

Vergil: "That's impossible, she's human. Her body would turn to ashes-"

He then sees a blushing Lady putting Izuku in a chokehold, as Izuku has a wide smile.

Vergil: "Oh......."

Lady: "Fine."

Izuku: "Alright then. Until then you're a part of DMC."

Izuku reaches his hand out to Vergil, and the brothers shake hands. The three then head up the tower to stop Arkham's plan and save the world.

Izuku: "Hey, what does Qliphoth fruit taste like anyways?"

Vergil: "Mango with Tajìn."
