Chapter 12: The Light is On

                           Narration

Jasmine's life is good as you can see, but that small encounter with Maxwell might change the course of her mind and her heart. Especially with Ross "being an ass" as Jasmine proclaimed. I believe Jasmine's break from drama is over. The questions we could ask. What was in the folder Ross shredded? What's going to happen to Jasmine and Ross since Max popped up? Those will probably be answered, but let's let them be answered in time and let's continue. Chad's party is tonight and Jasmine is looking for a good time. I wonder how long that good time is going to last for her.

Chad's party is tonight and I'm actually happy for it. I need to let loose and get away from Ross atleast for a couple of hours. He has really been pissing me off lately. All he's been focusing on lately is sex, sex, sex. sex, and sex, but this morning was strange. I woke up smelling breakfast. I rose up and Ross was standing there with a plate of bacon, eggs, toast, and a biscuit. I was so suprised. "Good morning baby. I'm sorry for acting the way I've been acting lately. I love you soo much.", He told me with the same smile he gave me when we first started talking. He always was a sweet guy. While I ate breakfast, he sat with me and we talked about me going to Chad's party. He was acting like he was ok with it, but he sounded like he was distrustful about something. After a nice convo and breakfast, I took my shower and went to the mall for an outfit. As I was browsing around, I got a text from Max.

I couldn't wait. I hastily found a cute outfit for the party and walked to the car. As I was pulling up to the park, he was already there sitting on his car. I quickly fixed my hair and straightened my clothes before I got out. He saw me through the windshield and began smiling. I smiled too hard back because my cheeks began hurting. I was walking up to him and my heart started banging against my chest. "Hiya", He said to me, reaching his arms out for a hug. " Hey Maxwell.", I told him, giving him a big hug. "So I'm Maxwell now", he said followed by giggle. It was cute how he giggled. " Maybe.", I told him. "You hungry?", he asked me. " I actually am.", I said. I turned around towards him and he already had a bag of food in his hand. "Real smooth Max.", I told him. "Always.", he said as he rubbed his head. God I love when he does that. We sat and ate in his car. Afterwards we spent 3 hours talking and laughing. We always have a nice time when we are around each other. " So this party. Who's throwing it?", he asked. "Chad.", I answered. " Oh. So you guys still talk after..that day?", he asked. I can tell he was eager for an answer. "No. I mean he still tries to conversate or whatever, but I don't speak to him.", I explained. " Oh. Just wondering. ", he said. I looked at my phone and it was already 6. Why didn't we notice the sun going down at all? " Well I should be getting ready for the party.", I told him, walking to my car. "Well alrighty then. I'll see you around Jazzy.", he said getting into his car. I drove home to catch a nap, but Ross was sitting in the living room calling my name. " Jasmine. Jasmine!", he kept yelling. "What. Do. You. Want.", I said. " I love you sweetheart. ", he said as he walked up to me and kissed my forehead. That made me smile. " I love you too baby.", I said, kissing his lips. I went upstairs and took an hour nap. It would've been longer, but Tina kept calling me. "What's up?", I said as I answered her call. " Are you ready?", She asked. "I still have an hour.", I told her. " I know, but we are riding in my car so be ready in 30 minutes.", she commanded. "I hate you.", I said. "Love you too now get ready.", she said before hanging up on me. I threw on my new outfit and walked downstairs to wait on Tina. " You look good sweetie.", Ross said smiling at me. "Thanks babe.", I said. " So how long will you be gone?", He asked. "Probably 3 hours.", I answered. " Why so long?", he asked skeptically. "Just to hang out with Tina. We haven't hung in a good while.", I explained. Then I saw that look again. I caught a chill quickly, but he turned away. " Well ok then. I hope you have fun.", He said laughing. I felt a little uneasy. I saw Tina pull up so I ran over and gave Ross a kiss before I left. "Love you.", he said. " I love you too.", I told him as I headed out of the door. I got into the car and we took off. I got a feeling something wasn't right at home, but I decided not to worry about it and just enjoy myself tonight. We pulled up, we saw how packed his house was. I was a little nervous to go in after seeing all those people. "What's wrong?", Tina asked me before stepping out the door. " I have a bad feeling about this.", I said. "Why?", she asked. " Do you not see all those guys in there?", I asked her. "Ohh. Fuck them. It's our night." She said, holding my shoulders. "I'm pretty sure he told those guys about the time he came over." I ashamedly told her. "It's ok girl. It's the past. Just keep the past in the past.", she advised me. " Ok.", I told her. We got out the car and headed to the house. It was pretty fun. Me and Tina did nothing but drink and dance. I haven't relaxed like this in awhile.
