Its Obvious!

"So what happened after that? Are you guys dating now? Did you use the L word yet? Oh my god I am so excited." Nicki said excitedy after mom left to go shopping and we were watching Mean Girls 2. Its nothing compared to the original and so we found each other chit chatting and I ended up confessing about what happened last night.

"Nothing. No and No."

"Don't be so boring."

My phone rang just when I was going to reply. It was mark. Clearly, my face wore a panick expression because Nicki took my phone from me to see who was calling.

"Oh, I totally forgot about this guy." Nicki said. "What...nevermind. Pick up." She said while handing me my cell.

"Hey Mark." I said.

"Hi gorgeous. What are you upto?"

"Oh nothing. Just relaxing."

"Okay. Um listen, I am sorry about yesterday. I was extremely busy."

"Oh. Its completely okay Mark." I was quite preoccupied myself.

"Well, can I come by? I need to make it up you."

Is he trying to make me feel guilty on purpose?

"You don't have to."

"Please. I have cupcakes. And pizza." He said mockingly. "I will throw in some coke as well, if you want or a salad and diet  coke. You choose."

"Cupcakes will do. Nicki is here as well."

"Then ask her to leave."

"Why do I have to do that?"

"Because I am going to kiss you. A lot." He breathed into the phone.

"My mom lives here too, you know?"

"Nea. I was joking. But, it sounds like you don't want to see me."

"Heyyyy...of course I want to see you. I missed you." Which isn't a lie. So I did not feel guilty.

"I missed you too baby. Well, then. Your evening is mine then. Dinner with my mother. She has been nagging me since forever about visiting her and it sounds like a great opportunity to introduce you."

"Sounds like a plan!" I whispered. 

"Pick you up at 6. Bye, beautiful."

He hung up.

"Why do you look so scared?" Nicki wanted to know.

"He wants me to meet his mother!"

"But...you have been together for only a week. What is he thinking? And lets not forget that you have feelings for someone else!"

"Does not seem like there is going to happen much in that field."

"Why?"

"Because I have feelings for you too!" I said to a pleasantly happy and a bit shocked Amit.
"I am trying my best not to kiss you." He replied.
"I want you to kiss me."  I said to my own surprise.
"Nea. I want to win you but not this way."
"This way?"

We finally reached his place and his driver opened the door for me. I got out and Amit accompanied me to his building. It was a posh area no doubt. And he lived in a penthouse. Talk about living large.
