Chapter 8 - A Day Out

A/N: Just a quick heads up for the incoming chapter, grammatical errors, nonsensical stuff etc, the usual. I haven't gone through the whole chapter fixing stuff yet.

PS: I'd like to think that (Y/N) is drawing rosettes over Legoshi's leg in the cover.

(Y/N) walked out of the locker room, now donning his gear ready for his final rehearsal.

"Hey, (N/N)! Over here!" Someone called for you.

You glanced around the busy room to find Els standing near Sheila motioning for you to close in, the rest of the Choreography Team stood behind them chatting among themselves.

"(N/N)? You questioned with a bashful smile, happily closing in with them.

"We thought of giving you a nickname!" Els said cheerfully.

"Well, it was more of her idea to give you a nickname." Sheila chimed in. Els looked shocked for a second before puffing her cheeks and looking back up at the Leopard.

"Sheila..!" She protested angrily.

"Oh, really?" (Y/N) turned to face Els, catching her attention. He bent down matching her height and smiled.

"Thank you! I really like it." Els stared at his soft blue eyes for a second before turning away.

"I-It's nothing!" You rose back up and looked at Sheila.

"So.. How are we doing so far?" He questioned. Sheila gave you a thumbs up followed by a confident smile.

"We're more than ready for tomorrow." Her face changed into a more worried one.

"Though.. we're concerned if you're the one ready, since it'll be your first time presenting in front of a crowd.." (Y/N) glanced at Els, she too looked worried.

"Me? Pfft!" He waved his hand dismissively. Sheila and Els traded looks before looking back at you skeptically. You slouched.

"I'm not ready to dance in front of a crowd yet.." You admitted your nervousness. Their faces fell. Els chuckled.

"You'll get used to it, I promise.. I know you can do it." She laid her hand onto his thigh. His eyes trailed to the floor, his face dulled up.

"Get used to it.." He muttered under his breath.

"Huh?" Els questioned. (Y/N) looked back at her with a smile.

"I was just mumbling. Let's dive straight into it!" He exclaimed. Sheila smiled before turning to look at the Sound Team.

"Music please!" She shouted, not long after a whimsical melody echoed around the studio. Sheila turned to face the rest of the Dance Team.

"On your mark guys!" She then turned to face the Snow Leopard and the Angora Goat.

(Y/N) and Els nodded understanding. They turned around and closed in with the rest of their peers, the two animals assumed their mark as so did the others lining up together.

"Ok! Reaady and.." You and everyone else readied up.

"One, two, three, four!" Sheila said, clapping her hands at a medium pace.

And so, (Y/N) and his peers began their final practice for their incoming performance. They were doing relatively good.

After a few rounds of perfecting their choreography, they took a quick break to catch their breaths. Sheila disbanded with the group to discuss with Dom.

(Y/N) stood there, with no one to talk with. He glanced around seeing all his friends that he usually chat with occupied. He glanced at Bill.

He practiced his swordplay with Tao. (Y/N) looked up to the balcony where Legoshi usually is.. but he was oddly missing..
