"Toots, you're crushing my tits!"
"That's what you deserve for leaving me, you bitch. I'm gonna miss you like fucking crazy." My glitter loving, bubblegum smackin', fashionista fiend of a best friend was leaving me—and to say I was attatched, was the biggest understatement of the damn year. I couldn't believe I'd have to go back to Chicago without her.
"I'm gonna miss you too." She whispered, separating from our prolonged hug to take my hands, "But hey, you know what? We're still gonna talk like all the time! You'll be sick of me, I swear. I'm gonna be blowing up your phone day and night, superstar! Plus, I'll fly down for quick weekend trips like... five times a month because my ma gets discounts on express flights at the airport. So..."
"We'll see eachother soon?" I murmured hopefully.
"You bet your hot ass we will." She winked, squeezing my hands, "I love you to pieces, babe, you know that."
"I love you too." I gave her another hug and since we were stood in the parking lot of the hotel, the cold winter breeze was just another reminder of how long we'd been out there. The rest of the group had said their goodbyes in the hotel room, whilst I walked Koi out to her brothers' car where he was waiting to pick her up.
"Alright, I gotta ditch ya'." Koi let go for the last time and picked up her bag from the ground, only to toss it into the open passenger door of her ride, "I've got to see a man aboout a barbie themed doghouse for my puppy!" She hopped inside the car.
I rolled my eyes and closed her door for her, "Never change, Koi." A snort fell from my lips, "It was nice to meet you Rome." I smiled at her big brother sitting in the passengers seat.
"You too—" He began to answer in kindness but was cut off by Koi spilling his orange juice all over the place when she shook it up without the cap fully on, "Koiya! Are you fucking serious right now?"
"Oh, whoop-de-doo. It was an accident. You need to replace these carseat covers anyways! Who has grey carseat covers? That's like asking for a mess! Get some print in this fucking metal trap you call a car!-"
"It looks clean and classy." He argued, putting the car in drive with an irritated glare.
"Ha! Classy? You wouldn't know classy if it fucked you up the ass!"
Her voice faded away as they sped out of the lot, but even in the distance I could picture Koi trying to roll her windows down and him putting on the child lock. What a pair they were.
I slipped my hands into my coat pocket and sighed deeply, turning on my heel, only to come face to face with an approaching Zayn. Zayn, who had been MIA, as well as Harlow. I woke up at ten thirty that morning to no one and nothing in our Valentine's Sweet. Not his bags, not his face, not even a note. The only way I knew he was really ever there and it wasn't all a dream was because I could still feel the sting of his hickeys all over my body. And I still had his Valentine's Day note tucked away in my purse for safe-keeping.
