Hey babes! This was just going to be put on my profile, but I wanted as many people to see this as possible, so don't read this if you don't care, but I really hope you can take a second to care because I've wanted to talk to you guys about this for a while.
As much as I love the enthusiasm some of you have for fandom and community, the rising usage of AI on this app is disappointing.
I'm really only here to ask of you please please please... stop using, promoting, and uplifting AI here and please, do not use it to create anything associated with my work.
The technology that you use to create your Harlow Silver AI character picture, is not dissimilar from the technology capable of making defamatory deepfake p*rn of celebrities like Taylor Swift and recently, as the engines reach the capable hands of perverts, the everyday you and me, the everyday child— if that does not disgust you and turn you off from using this stupid shit, than... why? And more importantly, what's wrong with you? It absolutely should.

If you don't know the serious harm that AI can do to the environment, to artists, to writers and musicians, to us, the harm that it's ABOUT to do in this upcoming four years— than I highly suggest you do your own research into it.
Google is free and there are hundreds of articles from people more knowledgable than myself to give you a deep breakdown on why this sucks... it makes me nervous, and I think it would make you nervous too!
Take it upon yourself to listen to the folks whose lives are currently being heavily impacted by the usage of Artificial Intelligence in media and journalism as well.
It's a deplorable practice and if we all do not distance ourselves from it as much as possible, we risk the one thing that humans have always had; freedom and expression.
It doesn't matter what you use it for, know that you are actively participating in the downfall of that and stop now, it's never too late to realize that and stop.
It's not a joke, it's not 'not that deep,' it's not 'harmless.'
This is real, and it hurts people, and it hurts artists, including the people you all support!
Why would you want to do that?
I also wanna take this time to promise to you all that I will never use AI in my edits, my writing, or cover art. This isn't me being a shaming hypocrite, ever since I've found out what it could do, I cut it out of my life and I suggest you do the same.
I'm not promoting anyone's stories or fanart or writing on my page if you use AI either, sorry, but I have a line and that crosses it.
