A week passed as Dove sat in the throne room as her bump continued to grow at an alarming rate.
She was only a few weeks pregnant but looked as if she was four months.
She watched as humans flooded into the throne room as she put earplugs in before looking back at the poetry book she was reading.
She would never get used to the screaming so she made sure she didn't see or hear it.
It kept her sain.
Suddenly her earplugs were taken out.
"You must feed my darling," said Aro.
She looked at him and nodded before watching him pour a blood bag into a glass.
He then placed it on the table before kissing her "I am so proud of you my darling" he said.
Caius held her shoulders "Drink it slowly love" said Caius.
She took the glass and drank the blood slowly.
"That's it," said Caius.
She hated it as she finished the glass.
She had been drinking blood daily.
Twice a day and each time were horrid as she didn't crave it.
Aro started adding vanilla extract to help the taste but she still tasted blood.
She was strong and healthy because of it and looked like a regular pregnant woman but wished there was an alternative choice.
She put the glass down.
"That has never gotten easier," she said.
"We know.
But we rather force the blood down your throat then watch you fade away" said Aro.
"You have done us both proud," said Caius.
"Can I try it from a body?" asked Dove.
"Of course my darling," said Aro.
She usually had two glasses full as the child was more vampire than human and craved more.
She looked at her stomach.
"Make this easier for me alright?
I'm suffering here while you are inside me comfortable and worry-free" she said as the baby kicked.
Minutes passed as Caius gave her a glass of fresh blood.
"Would you like vanilla my darling?" said Aro.
She shook her head before tasting it.
Suddenly she felt herself relax as she put the glass down.
"That is perfect," she said before drinking the rest of the blood.
"So the child has a preference," said Caius as he smiled.
"Jane tell Corin to bring humans in daily.
Two will be fine for each day" said Aro.
"Yes master," said Jane.
Dove placed the glass down before smiling as blood stained her teeth.
"The child is indeed ours," said Aro before smiling.
Dove looked at Aro "I'll go back to our chambers so you both can feed" she said.
"I'll take her," said Caius.
"Alright, make sure she rest's" said Aro.
Caius nodded before offering his hand to Dove.
She took his hand as got up showing her flowy black gown.
"Come now love," said Caius.
They walked out of the throne room together.
"You look beautiful love" he said.
"You already told me that three times," she said with a smile.
"And I will continue," he said as he ran his fingers over her knuckles giving her chills.
"I love you," she said.
"I love you too amore mio"(my love) he said as they continued walking through to tower.
She never felt so lucky as she looked at him.
She wondered how she lived her entire life without Aro and Caius as she could survive one day without them now.
