Earth's office was empty except for a few sparse workers here and there, Off and Louis had already left for home after their agreement. It made it ideal as Earth and Mix could freely go down to look at the public records of the city without the fear of getting caught by the others. The public records were thankfully arranged by street which made things a bit easier considering the number of files and documents present. It was Earth who was more used to the system that found the file on residents living on Beta Street first.

Taking the large document filled with papers out, Earth led Mix to his private office, he rarely used it preferring the desks present next to the others. In this case, however, it proved ideal as they out of precaution read in privacy.

"I found him!" Earth exclaimed; it was hard to not feel excited when suddenly everything is falling into place. It didn't feel like they were stuck in an alley unable to get out anymore, instead, they could see a door right in front of them able to get them out of this once and for all.

"Non Wardom just turned 89 years old two weeks ago, retired professor and leaves in Lux Apartments on Beta Street just next to a barbershop" Earth read aloud "He is the only person fitting everything we need," he said finally.

"Did you say lux apartments?" Mix asked, he looked deep in thought, but still nodded when Earth confirmed again.

"Do you know the building?" Earth asked now curious, and at the look in Mix's eyes, he was clearly going to say something big.

"Not only know it" Mix started "That building is owned by my sister".

He couldn't help but smile, the pieces finally coming together and luck on their side for once this entire investigation.

"Earth I can get us a room right next to him!"

"But how? do you still talk to your sister?" Earth questioned.

"My older sister and I were always attached to the hip, not even my father can truly sever our bond. Trust me she will help us, and we can stay there on Sunday and catch that bastard red-handed". At moment, if he let himself Earth would have cried real tears of joy, instead, he hugged Mix as tight as he could almost lifting his feet from the ground in excitement. They finally had the upper hand. In the upcoming days, until Mix had arranged everything with his sister, Earth stayed at Mix's apartment.

It was Mix's idea to try to convince Earth that his apartment was technically closer to everything so it would be easier, the latter reluctantly agreeing in the end. It was no use asking if he could pay Mix for his stay cause the reality is that Mix's apartment was definitely more than his government salary. Instead, Earth tried to make himself as useful as he could, he wasn't the best at cooking, but he tried, almost burning a pan aside. And the way he soon realised to Mix's heart is flowers which shouldn't be surprising. Earth would buy him flowers every day if it were possible just to see how Mix's face lit up every time, he gave him tulips or his favourite daisies and daffodils.

Mix tried to convince him that it wasn't necessary that having Earth sharing the same space as him was enough, but he learned soon enough why Earth did it. They did everything together, and who knew that sharing a space with Earth would be so easy. They kissed, they hugged, they danced to a record Mix played one night, it was hard to convince Earth but when he did, they didn't stop swaying in each other's arms for what felt like hours in the dim evening. They touched and become closer, and Mix had never felt so cherished in his life, Earth's touch on his body almost fervent as if Mix's body was something to be worshipped.

It got hard for Mix to hold in what he has wanted to say for a while now, this overflow of emotions couldn't be anything else but that. He knew or at least he hoped in his heart that Earth felt the same way. Earth isn't a man of many flowery words, instead, his affections were shown through action. Mix understood what Earth couldn't say and for now, until they dealt with everything that was more than enough.
