" Nova" I hear my mom calling me so I put my book down and start walking to where ever she is " Ma" I call out then I smell her amazing cooking so I know she is in the kitchen .

I make it to the kitchen and see my mom in her happy place " Hi mom" I kiss her cheek " hi my love" she kisses my cheek then goes back to cooking. " what can I do for you " I sit on the barstools that are located right in-front of the kitchen island.

" Oh right I wanted to ask about that boy " my cheeks feel warm " what boy" she looks up and points her wooden spoon at me " you know what boy" I blush then hide my face " Luca?" She smiles " yes him , invite him over" my eyes widen " what do you mean " .

" Nova what do you mean 'what do I mean' invite the boy over " I laugh nervously " mom I don't know I mean dad hasn't even met him and I don't want to scare him off" I panic but of course mom had to wave me off .

" Oh and tell your father to come here" mom shouts I reply with an okay then walk upstairs and knock on the office door " come in" I peek my head through the door " mom said she wants you" he nods .

I shut the door then walk into my room , I shut the door quickly and walk straight to my desk that is in front  of my window that lets the sunlight shine through. I pick up my phone , open the messages and start to text Luca.

Me-are you busy?

Luca-no just playing basketball with Zamire and Emillo why?

Me-well my mom invited you over for dinner but it's okay if you don't want to come I can tell her you got sick or something .

Luca-no no I will be there what time

Me- come at 7:30

Luca-okay see you in two hours 💋

I smile then set my phone down then nerves hit me like a train what if my dad doesn't like him or what if Luke doesn't like my dad and they argue or what if ... I give up with the what if's.

I get out of my chair and walk to my dresser, I open the third drawer that holds my sweatshirt hum what do I wear . I tap my finger against my chin then spot it ! I look for some bottoms and found the perfect outfit.

I chose a white sweater and a black skirt , I put a pair of socks on but no shoes because I would loose my head if I ever wore shoes in my house . Trust me this one time one of my friends or my old one came into the house with shoes on my mom went crazy .

Let's just say I haven't heard from her in over two years .

I look at the clock and see that I have 1 hour and 15 minutes to kill so I sat down in my reading nook and started to finish the book I started before I went downstairs.

You get so lost into the fictional world that times flys by without any warning. Now it's 7:28 and my mom called me down to help set the table and she also told me she is having one of her friends over as well so this could get interesting.

" Mom do you think I- " I was interrupted by the doorbell " I got it " I shout then walk over to the door . I peek through the peeking hole and see Luca in a black shirt and a pair of black jeans the typical bad boy .
