Chapter 3: A case of the Bad Wolf part 1
Wren yawns herself awake, rubbing her head. "Ergh... Hello..?" Wren grumbled as she got off the bed. Clay enters the classroom and hugs Wren. "Clay?" Wren asked. Clay hugged Wren tight, feeling worried about her. "Wren... I was so worried..." Clay whispered. Wren just hugs back with confusion and smiles. Later that same day with Watts and Treena, Watts was asking Treena some questions. "Treena, what happened before Wren hurted you?" Watts asked. Treena looked at him with an unsure smile. "Well... She sorta almost looked lifeless... And then suddenly lifefull again." Treena answered as she remembered what happened.

Wren and Clay walk towards the two. "Hi Watts!" Wren greeted cheerfully. She looks at Treena and suddenly loses her smile. "H... Hey Treena..." Wren mumbled gloomily. "I-I'm...-" Wren stops as she hears ringing. She covers her ears as it gets louder and louder. "Wren?" The three say with concern. "You alright?" Watts asked as Wren gets to her knees. "I'm fine! Just... You guys can't hear it??" Wren answered, looking up at her friends. "Hear what?" Treena asked. "The ringing!" Wren answered angrily and got up. She ran off, uncovering her ears. "Ringing? Wha- Wren?" The three just stayed in their places with confused faces.

"What's wrong with her?" Treena asked Clay. "I dunno either." Clay replied, sitting with Watts and Treena. "Maybe she's hearing something we aren't? I'll ask tomorrow when she comes by." Watts suggested as he fixes his hair. The next day, Wren didn't come in. How? Watts came in a bit late today. "Where is Watts?" Clay asked Treena as he put his things in his locker. "I don't know. He and Wren should come through that door any time now..." Treena answered, looking at the door. The door opens and Mr. Ernesto enters. "Good Morning- Clay, Treena?" Mr. Ernesto could only see Clay and Treena. "We know. Watts and Wren aren't here." Treena said, leaning against her chair.

Suddenly Watts enters the classroom, gasping for air. "Sorry!.... I'm... Uh... Late!...." Watts panted. The three look at him in surprise. "Watts, why are you late?" Mr. Ernesto asked Watts as everyone got into their seats. "Wren didn't wake me up this morning, and she normally does it everyday!" Watts answered, looking at the empty chair across him. "Well then, if you happen to know where she lives, maybe you can visit her and ask why she didn't come in." Mr. Ernesto suggested. Soon, class started. Around recess, Clay stumbles upon Wren by incident. "Wren?" Clay asked as he sees Wren in a red jacket. "Hi Clay!" Wren greeted. Clay looks carefully at the red jacket Wren wore. It seemed a bit bigger than her and somewhat had an odd label on it.

"Wren...? What's with the red jacket?" Clay asked as he looked up and down at Wren. Wren felt a little uncomfortable about Clay's question. She grumbled. "Clay... I'm not really comfortable with your question... But if you really wanna know, then listen carefully..." Wren said with a suspicious tone. "You see Clay... I kinda slipped on some mud and now my yellow jacket is drying up in my room. I wanted to just go without my jacket, but I figured it be cold outside..." Wren answered. Clay was confused. Why was Wren so uncomfortable with my question if that was the case? Clay thought as Wren walks away smiling. Later that same day... Watts came over to Wren's apartment building. He came in the elevator and pressed a button to the fifth floor. He waited a while and walked out as the elevator doors opened at the fifth floor.

He goes over to a door with the number 55 and gently knocks on it. He waits and sees a man opening the door. The man had black hair with one Prussian highlight, tan skin, brown eyes, and was clearing drinking coffee. "Hi Mr. Weasel! Is Wren home? She didn't come to the Action Academy this morning..." Watts said politely. The man looked behind him. "Wren, cariña, you said there wasn't any Action Academy today!" The man said loudly. Watts could see behind him Wren in a red jacket. "I'm sorry for lying, but I wanted to go to Tìa's place so bad!" Wren replied, putting her face.  "Wren..." The man looked back at Watts. "Do you want to come in? Or are you only here to ask why Wren wasn't in?" Mr. Weasel asked. Watts didn't have anyone at home so he entered the apartment silently.

"Wren, how are you feeling? You know... About the day after yesterday and all..." Watts asked the next day. Wren groaned, not feeling so good. "About that... I feel bad about Treena..." Wren answered as she looked down at where she was walking. "Oh, don't worry Wren! She forgave you after you ran off." Watts responded. "Really?" Wren perked up, "She's okay?" Watts nodded, causing Wren to cheer. The duo enter the classroom to see the Superintendent. The Superintendent was talking to Mr. Ernesto about something. "Um, good morning Mr. Ernesto and Superintendent!" The two greeted anxiously. The Superintendent turns around to see the two.

"Watts? Wren? You two sure are, uh, early...?" Mr. Ernesto said as the two kids put their things in their lockers. "Treena and Clay aren't here yet?" Wren asked. "It seems like it." Watts answered. "Watts, Wren, please sit down. Me and the Superintendent have something to talk about." Mr. Ernesto said. He and the Superindentent exit the classroom, leaving the two kids alone. Watts moves over and sits on Clay's chair, getting closer to Wren. "So what do you think they're talking about?" Watts asked. "I dunno, maybe a trophy test?" Wren answered. "That seems too sudden. Maybe it's an emergency." Watts assumed.

"OoOhhhh!!! Maybe they'll finally kick out-" Wren stops as Watts makes an unimpressed face. "What? Come on, you know you want Treena out." Wren grumbled and crossed her arms. "Wren, even if Treena is a little bit of a... How do I say it without... Hmm...." Watts tries to think of a synonym. "Anyways, you know what I mean." Watts then noticed Wren's eyes looking different. Wren looks at Watts with a smile. "Hey, uh, Wren? What's with your eyes?" Watts asked. Wren tilted her head in confusion. "What do you mean?" Wren mumbled out. "I mean like your pupils... They're... Uh... Skinny." Watts rephrased. Wren was in even more confusion.

"What are you talking about? My pupils are normal!" Wren replied, sounding a bit off. Watts was about to respond when Treena and Clay enter the classroom with confused and shocked faces. "Hi Treena! Hi Clay!" Wren greeted happily and cheerfully as usual. "Hi Watts, Hi Wren." Clay greeted back. Watts moved back to his seat as the two came closer to the seats. Clay and Treena sit down, and wait for Mr. Ernesto to come back. 3 minutes later, he returns with a white scanner. "Good morning Action Pack!" Mr. Ernesto greeted. "Good Morning!" Treena and Clay greeted back happily. "Today I have some bad news..." Mr. Ernesto said as he sighed. "The Superintendent had came by and told me about one of you having what is said to be a dangerous condition..." Mr. Ernesto continued.

"What's the condition?" Treena asked with concern. "She said it was called the The Bad Wolf." Mr. Ernesto answered. "The what-?" Wren said all afraid. "The Bad Wolf condition is said to be a very violent behavior." Mr. Ernesto could only say. "That sounds scary..." Clay grumbled. "Are there any symptoms?" Treena asked. "Well there are a few... Wild eyes, sharp teeth, and something about chest fur." Mr. Ernesto responded. He then walks over to his desk and puts the scanner down. "Action Pack, line up. Wait, before you do..."
