Rolling my eyes I say “Oh relax scary cat, I was just thinking—”
“Yeah, that's the problem” interrupted Nova “ the way you keep looking between us I can guess what you're about to say.”
“Good” I turn to the miller boys “we are going to get back at Mr. Grey and use this project as a cover, would you like to help?” I say it like an option even if it's not, if they don't agree we can find a way to make them our fall guys, not that they need to know that
Lucas looked at his brothers and turned back to Tess, “ The way I see it, we could help and run the chance of getting caught, but if we don't help then you would just have to trust us to not run to Mr. Grey and get brownie points by telling him your plan”
Nova looks over to me, I know what she would say ‘Great look at that, now were screwed.'
Lucas turns to his brother and starts speaking fast, "¿Qué piensan todos ustedes?"

"OK"

“Um, what?” My friends and I don't know Spanish. I failed my Spanish class and Nova is taking it next year.
Lucas looks at us “ tell us your plan, and then we will see.”
I run through the options in my head, on one hand, if I tell him then he will know everything clearly, and on the other, if we don't he could just go to Mr. Grey and blab and we won't get the extra help.
“Ok, fine,” I take a deep breath and start to explain the situation “So as we all know it is Memorial day which means the courthouse is closed, Alex found out that Miss Williams is having a bingo party from his grandmother who will be attending, Mr. Grey is out of town with his family, Samantha was bragging about there yearly family Camping trip at school. Most of the town will be at the church uptown for their fireworks so there is almost no chance of us being seen.”
Luke Alex and nova are nodding along while the Miller boys just sit there stunned.
Paul is the first to speak “ You all plan this stuff out.”
Lucas speaks up “do you usually say that much in one breath?”
“Yeah so are you in or not?” Nova said, crossing her arms.
After a collection of yeses, we head to the courthouse.
After parking in the back and walking through the broken back door we head straight for Mr. Grey's Office, avoiding the grainy cameras as we go. Nova dips off from the group to find the camera room so she can disable the ones in his office. We creep through the halls jumping at the smallest sound. Finally, we made it to the large door that opened up to his office.
“Done.” Nova sneaks up on us, making all of us jump and turn to her in shock.
Walking into the office I notice it hasn't gotten any cleaner since the last time we were here, grey and green, mountains of junk piled high with a small desk in the middle.
“Let's get to work”
