"Aubreeeeeeey!!!" Kel whined, following his pink haired girlfriend. "I'm bOOooooored!!" Aubrey huffed loudly, her trusty wooden bat resting on her shoulder. "And that's my problem HOW?" She asked with a hell of an attitude. Kel sighed dramatically, leaning against the wall of the shopping plaza. "I'm DIE if we don't do anything fun!" He whined, sliding down the wall. Aubrey grumbled as she slid down the wall next to him. "Alright, so what do you wanna do?" She asked, bringing her knees up and resting her arms on them. "Mmmmmm.....," Kel hummed as he pondered the question. "Wanna go get candy?" He asked, nodding his head to the side.
"Ehhhh, I dunno..I don't think the store owner's daughter likes me," Aubrey admitted. "Really? She's really nice to me. Even complemented my smile once," Kel hummed. Aubrey immediately felt a ping of anger. "Oh?" She asked, looking up at Kel. "Yeah! She's really nice," Kel hummed. "Maybe you just got off on the wrong foot." Aubrey narrowed her eyes before huffing. "Alright, fine." Kel fist bumped the air before quickly standing, holding his hand out to Aubrey. Aubrey looked up, her face flushing a bright pink at his wide smile. She grumbled as she took his hand, Kel pulling her up. He pulled her into his arms, catching the smaller female by surprise. He hugged her tightly, grinning widely. "I wuv you," he giggled, Aubrey's blush only growing at this. "Yeah yeah, I love you too," she grumbled, Kel pulling away. He giggled. "You're face looks almost as pink as your hair."
"Do you wanna get candy or not?" Aubrey barked, embarrassed at how Kel continued to make her flustered. Kel laughed slightly, grabbing her hand and intertwining their fingers. "Fine fine," he hummed, Aubrey letting out a huff as they made their way to the grocery store.Aubrey and Kel strolled through the candy shop, eyes scanning over the many bags and containers of candy. "Ooooh, let's get this Aubrey!" Kel said, pointing to the sign next to many candy containers with scoops. 'FILL A BAG AS MUCH AS YOU CAN, OMLY FOR $5! BUY TWO, GET ONE FREE!'
"Ooooh yeah okay, good idea," Aubrey said, eyes looking at the assortments of candy. There were ranges of taffies to chocolates, and even a few gummies. "Uhhh, the bag thingy is empty," Kel said in slight disappointment. "I'll go to the counter and ask for some! You think about what to get." Aubrey gave a nod, staring at the candy containers. Before Kel ran off, he pressed his lips firmly against Aubrey's cheek. He hurried away before she could yell at him, her face going bright pink once again."Excuse me!" Kel said as he reached the counter. The cashier, the store owner's daughter, turned to look at him. She perked up a bit, putting on a smile. "Oh, hello again," she said in an overly sweet voice. "What can I do for you?"
"Can I get three bags for the candy station? The dispense is empty," Kel said, wearing his usual smile. "Oh, of course!" She said. "I'm so sorry for the inconvenience."
"That's alright," Kel hummed, watching as she began to dig for a few of the bags. He turned to look away, spotting Aubrey as she looked at the candies. He didn't even notice how the cashier swayed her hips a bit, being to caught in a trance by his beautiful girlfriend. The cashier stood, noticing how he wasn't even paying attention to her. She followed his gaze, scowling slightly as she saw who he was staring at. "Here you are," she said, Kel looking back at her. "If you'd like, you could just pay now. Since you're already at the counter."
"Oh, yeah! Thanks," Kel said, digging in his pocket for his wallet. He pulled out ten dollars, handing it to the cashier. She typed away at the cash register before taking his money, putting it in the cash register and grabbing his receipt once it printed. Kel went to grab it, but watched in confusion as he watched her write something on it. "Here you are," she said sweetly, handing him his receipt. "I hope you have a good day.""Okay, so I thought about this carefully. If we just—" Aubrey looked behind her at Kel. He was staring at his receipt, wearing a scared and uncomfortable look on his face. "What's wrong?" Aubrey asked, immediately alarmed at her boyfriend's unusual mood. "I....I just got made very uncomfortable," he admitted, handing the receipt to Aubrey. She took it, her eyes widening in anger. "Call me, she doesn't have to know ;)" was written on it, as well as a phone number. "Please don't be mad– I–I didn't know she'd do that," Kel said, looking at Aubrey with worry.
"I'm not mad at you," Aubrey said, looking past him at the cashier. She couldn't see Aubrey, for she was tending to another customer. "Look let's just– let's grab our candy and get outta here," Kel said with a begging look on his face. Aubrey looked back at Kel, her expression softening at how scared and uncomfortable Kel looked. She then nodded, putting on a tiny smile. "Okay."Kel chattered to Aubrey happily as they walked towards the door to the candy store, their bags of candy filled to the brim with many taffies and other assortments of candy. The cashier looked up, being oblivious to the fact that Aubrey was aware of what she had done. "Have a nice day," she called in that same overly sweet tone. Aubrey stopped, looking at her. "Aubrey– let's just go," Kel quietly said. "One sec," she said, approaching the cashier.
Aubrey dug into her pocket, pulling out the receipt from earlier. She tore the end of it off, shoving it against the cashier's chest as harsh as she could. "He's fucking taken, bitch," she spat, her eyes being filled with rage. "Go get your own boyfriend," she said, the cashier trying to put on a tough look. Aubrey could see that she was scared, however. After that, Aubrey turned on her heel and walked back to Kel.Kel laughed slightly as he opened another taffy, leaning against the wall to his house as he did so. Aubrey grinned, nibbling at a Twizzler that she had taken from the bag. She looked up at the sky, taking in the sunset. Kel looked at her, smiling brightly. "The sun makes your eyes twinkle," he commented. Aubrey looked at him, tilting her head with a slight grin. "That a good thing or a bad thing?" She asked. Kel giggled slightly. "A good thing," he replied. "I think it's pretty." Instead of her usual eye roll and a huff, Aubrey put on a smile as she blushed. Now it was Kel's turn to be flustered, his cheeks going rosy as he stared at Aubrey. Alas, he smiled before leaning in. Aubrey's eyes shut as they shared a soft kiss, Kel pressing his forehead against hers after they parted. "For a scary guard dog, you really do have a heart," he joked, a scoff leaving Aubrey as she rolled her eyes with a grin. Kel giggled again, resting his head on Aubrey's shoulder.
