Here it is.The light of Jungkook's shitty life!
Oh the greatest thing that has happened since he's been sent to that hell hole!
His ticket on getting the fuck out of this school; The drop out form.
The guidance counselor didn't really seem at all surprised that Jungkook would want to drop out when he dropped the demand upon barging in her office- that anyone would want to drop out in general out of this school. Without asking so many questions, since this is not uncommon, she just printed out the form and told him to bring it back tomorrow with his parents signature.
Good thing he knows how to forge his parents signature.
Truth is, he's never been this happy about leaving school in his life until now as he walks his way home, happily grinning to his way to freedom.
Once upon a time academics was everything to Jungkook; Does his homework and classwork to get good grades, all with the thrive to still be in his football team since that was a requirement. He took it very serious. Whenever he did reckless shit it was always outside the school premises.
Reason for it? Because he wanted to. Social Workers and Guidance Counselors, even the principle, has tried to understand his behavior if he's been a decent student and has a great loving household.
He's just living his life, that was always his excuse.
Maybe he did have a reason he himself didn't know about yet, but as for now he was just a teen trying to live in the thrill of life.
Until he got kicked into this school, to which all the care for academics just flew out the window and now he just wants to continue living his life his way.
He's mentioned this to Yeri, and maybe Taehyung since he just happened to be there for their lunch period, about his plan on dropping out. Yeri obviously didn't say anything but Taehyung was definitely vocal about it. He kept asking why he's leaving and growing a little noisy if it's anything related to problems at home. Thankfully Jungkook has patience, so he just kindly told him to mind his damn business.
At least, he tried to be kind about it.
Anyways, that's not the point. Now Jungkook got his form, needs to fill it out, and think on where he's going to crash once he sneaks out from his home. His parents knows his friends, all of them, so they wouldn't be so reliable to go to for a home for a few days.
Maybe he could cash out money from his card and stay at a motel for a few days until he can find a job- Which most likely cops will track him down to actually take him to Juvenile Detention Center...
Great, forgot about that.
Well, he will end up finding something to do-
FUCK!
A strong and stinging pain abruptly slams against the side of Jungkook's head, nearly catching him off balance if it wasn't for his body quickly sustaining himself. His fucking cranium is burning in pain, forcing his eyes to blur but he blinks it away as he hear small steps rushing towards him.
"Um-Sir! I'm so sorry! H-He didn't know how to kick the ball- I'm so sorry!"
The thin and quivering voice snaps Jungkook's gaze to look to his side, seeing a very thin, small boy with worn out and tattered clothing without any shoes. This kid looks as though he hasn't seen a bathtub in years, and when Jungkook's gaze looks past him to see other small kids around his age- Similar attires with bowl cuts on their greasy hair.
It didn't sink in quick enough that Jungkook was suddenly hit by something from them, not until he looks down to see a plastic small ball that's suppose to be meant as a football laying on the ground. It even had some poor designs of Football team logos circulating around it, just so close to snapping in half with another hard kick.
They're using this to play football?
How can they even play with that?
"Um sir," Jungkook looks back up to the first boy he saw, who's now a quivering mess as he points a shakily finger to the ball, "C-Can you pass the ball? Please?"
No wonder Jungkook's head fucking ached. When he picked it up with a single hand, he realized just how hard it is.
He glances from the ball and to the boys feet, flinching a little to the ache they're probably feeling from kicking this thing.
Hm... They probably don't even have enough money to buy an actual ball.
That's why Jungkook hesitated a little before putting the ball back to the ground and giving it a simple pass back, finding it strange when the boy smiles broadly with a quick thank you before going back to playing with his friends as he dribbles the ball with his bare feet.
This would've been Jungkook's cue to just walk away and leave, going home to instantly run through the drop out form and pack up his stuff.
But he couldn't move.
His eyes couldn't seem to look away from the little boys playing on the street, laughing and shouting at each other as they try to steal the ball and score it between these pile of clothes used as a goal.
Street football.
Jungkook has never played football out on the streets before. His childhood friends, who were in his previous team in high school, would always play in a backyard of each other's houses with cleats so they wouldn't fall to their faces. They never use to play in the streets since.... It never crossed their mind.
Football was just never meant to be played on concrete in Jungkook's head.
As he stares at them, he realizes that he's never seen kids so..... Happy playing this sport before. Usually Jungkook was just fueled to be competitive to win, training to gain skills in order so he wouldn't have to suffer the disappointment with losing.
Yet that seemed to have flew past their small and youthful minds when either team would score, the opponent would even clap or cheer for them too in their playful game.
Usually whenever Jungkook's team would lose a game, they would scold each other really badly to get their shit together. Jungkook would never be one to part take in that since his only focus was on himself, trying to see how he can push himself to get better while pushing his complaining teammates behind him.
His team was more of a partnership rather than a team, since it just felt like they were there to do their own role rather than working as a team.
At least that's how Jungkook was; As though he was the team alone. No doubt the other teammates felt the same way too, yet that still didn't stop them from going into nationals for two consecutive years.
And it was in that... Single moment, where Jungkook reminisced with his past that something just.... Bloomed in his heart as he stares at the kids, feeling this familiar buzz in his legs as it shuffles in his stance. The force of need to move coated over his every cell in his body, finding this little pitch of light through the darkness of these streets.
Football.... His once dream... Goal.... Ease from the world.
His passion.
And with that he smiles, moving back to make his way home.
With a new motive fluttering in his mind.
