~Sarah’s POV~

I took a sip of my tea at the kitchen table and examined the room. Judy was working with Emily on staying invisible. Lauren was watching some drama on her laptop while making random ice sculptures on the couch. She finished a silly looking one of a bear with a butterfly before crushing it into small ice pieces and starting another sculpture.

I took another sip of my tea to see Emily looking at her phone. Who was texting her? All of us were at home…

She looked up and smiled, “Kyle’s thinking about visiting.”

    O boy.

     “Who’s Kyle?” Judy asked

“I’ve never met him but I’ve heard interesting things about him. He doesn’t stay in one place very long.” Lauren said after destroying her sculpture of a frog and going over to Emily to try and see the phone.

I took another sip of my tea, resisting getting involved in this conversation. Emily wasn’t really a fan of people getting involved in this particular topic.

“Emily likes him.” Lauren bluntly said. Her filter wasn’t the best sometimes.

“But he doesn’t like you back?” Judy asked to the now blushing Emily, “That’s classic. You’ll find someone better.”

“It’s not that he doesn’t like her,” I said after my tea was finished, “He simply respects her too much to be with her.”

“Right...I’m stuck in friend stage.” Emily said disappointed before her phone went off again. “Stop talking about it, he’ll be here in twenty seconds.”

“Twenty seconds?” Judy asked before her hair whipped to the side as if she was in wind.

I looked to the fridge where Kyle was already at.

“Your fridge is almost empty. That’s no way to treat a guest with high metabolism.” He complained.

“It’s not like we had warning you were coming,” Emily replied sarcastically, “Anyways we can’t afford to pay for your food. You eat way too much.”

I blinked and saw Kyle already at Emilys side giving her a hug.

“Don’t be silly, I don’t eat THAT much.” He stopped and looked around at his surroundings before jumping over to Lauren and shaking her hand quickly.

“You must be Lauren. I can tell because you look cold.”

“Um thanks?” Lauren responded while smiling

“Sarah.” He said to me with a head nod. I responded with smile.

“O and who could this lovely lady be?” he said over Judy’s shoulders.

“She’s our newest addition and I think you’re in her space.” Emily said with her eyebrow up.

“What is your power?” he said out of curiosity.

“I turn invisible.” She replied before disappearing

“Ha, you didn’t have to show me. I would’ve believed you.”

“Right,” she said while remaining unseen.

“She can’t control it.” Emily said “You’re making her uncomfortable.”

Kyle looked hurt for a second before smiling again. “Ok, well I’ll see you ladies in a bit. I’m hungry.”

He left the door open again. I guess that’s something small you don’t think about when you can run thousands of miles per hour.

“That was interesting,” Judy commented while slowing becoming visible.

Just then our communicators began ringing as our microwave made the obnoxious noise.

“Wait, I have to go to the bathroom before we go!” Lauren said before running in that direction.

I wonder what the issue is. I hope it’s nothing too bad. I looked over to the fridge and Kyle was back.

“That was fast.” I said, looking at his two paper bags full of food.

“How can you afford that?” Emily asked in a suspicious tone.

“I did them a favor. All of this food is supposed to expire today. They wouldn’t be allowed to sell it.” He said while eating some yogurt and staring at the microwave. “Doesn’t that sound mean you guys have to go fight?”

“They were waiting for me to pee.” Lauren said, now in costume.

“Well I’ll help then.” He went and came back before I could blink. He was black suit with a navy blue line on it. He had a belt from his left shoulder to his right waistline. On his belt he had little containers. I remember from the last time he fought with us that each container had a different type of gas in it, one to make someone fall asleep, one to make them numb and more.

“Actually no,” Emily said to answer Kyle’s comment while looking at her communicator. “Our description of the bad guy is someone who has been harassing girls and stealing things.”

“And why don’t we want to fight that?” I asked

“The reason they called us to fight him instead of the cops is because of his ‘supernatural speed’.”She said while glaring at Kyle. “In other words you need to stop harassing girls Kyle or else we will have to fight you.”

He looked stunned for a minute before laughing.

<<<Emilys POV>>>

“Stop laughing!” I said, trying my best to sound furious.

“The girls loved it. You know I am irresistible.”

Suddenly he was in a black tux with a rose in his mouth doing the salsa with me. After he twirled me I regained my senses.

         “Hey! Stop that!”

“But you like it.” He said before winking. “Anyways I’m off to Australia.”

“You just got here.” I said, slightly let down, that dancing was kind of fun.

“I’ll be back later. If you guys ever need me for a fight, or anything at all, give me a buzz and I’ll be here in less than a minute.”

“Thanks Kyle.” I said before he hugged me.

“Bye guys,” He said before leaving.
