It was 8:00 AM on a Thursday morning. Laurie was sitting down at the table eating her cereal while watching the morning news on the television. "It has been about a month after The recent missing kid Bruce yamada went missing" the news reported said drinking his coffee "the person who is involved in on this is what the people call the grabber" the news reported said as they pulled a sketch drawing of him.
Laurie got chills down her spine as she heard the doorbell ring. She jumped before quickly looking back at the tv "if you see anything like this man please contact 911" the News reporter said as they switched back to a different topic.
Laurie put her bowl and spoon in the sink as she grabbed her bag walking to the door leaving the milk on the counter. The classic milk carton that had a missing kid on it but not just any kid, It was Lisa Blake Laurie's old best friend who went missing about four months ago.
Laurie opened the door to see the face of Jamie Arellano her other best friend. Laurie and Jamie walked to school together every single day. It use to be Jamie, Laurie, and Lisa who walked to school together but since Lisa went missing it's just Jamie and Laurie.
Jamie greater Laurie with a smile as Laurie smiled back walking out the door the two started to walk off to school.
"The yamada family is still putting up posters for Bruce.." Jamie said quietly as they walked down the side walk. "Yeah I saw that" Laurie said quietly. "Weren't Lisa and Bruce dating or something?" Jamie said. "Lisa never confirmed it but I had a feeling" Laurie said smiling. "Hopefully there together now in heaven" Jamie said looking at the sky.
"Jamie why would you say that!" Laurie said a little angry "Laurie I'm-" Jamie said before Laurie interrupted "Lisa is still alive... I know it.." Laurie said looking down. "Sorry laur... I forgot.." Jamie said feeling bad.
"It's okay" Laurie said rapping her arm around Jamie hugging her. The two kept walking as Jamie had a upsetting expression on her. "James what's wrong?" Laurie said. "Ever since Jamie went missing I've been having these dreams...weird dreams.." Jamie said looking at Laurie.
"What kind of Dre-" Laurie said before the cheering and yelling of students interrupt her. "Fight fight fight!" The kids says as Jamie and Laurie looked over "oh fuck.." Jamie said rolling her eyes. "What? What's going on?" Laurie said with a confused face. "It's my brother" Jamie said running over to the circle.
Laurie ran after Jamie said they got to the circle to see Robin on top of a boy named moose punching him repeatedly. Jamie pushed a few kids out of the way as she grabbed robin pulling him off of moose. "Hey I wasn't finished!" Robin said pissed off. "Yeah moose's bloody face and your bloody fisted says other wise" Jamie said glaring at robin. "Robin Arellano come here right now!" The teacher said grabbing robin by his arm dragging him away to the principals office.
Jamie looked over and Moose groaning with his bloody face. "You deserved it dickhead" Jamie said walking off into the school as the bell rang. Laurie walked in behind Jamie as the two went into Science.
30 minutes passed and the teacher was talking about some boring science thing. Laurie was looking at the board as she felt someone's eyes on her. She looked over at Jamie who was smirking at Laurie "what?" Laurie said mouthing out the word. "Look beside you" Jamie said mouthing the word. Laurie slowly looked over to see Finney Blake Lisa's younger brother staring at her before looking back at his book once Laurie layed eyes on him.
Laurie looked back over at Jamie who's was laughing silently. "Alright kids! We will be dissecting frogs" the teacher said passing out treys. "Please find a partner!" The teacher said.
Laurie walked straight over to Jamie who surprisingly already had a partner. Laurie had a confused expression on her face since there always partners "go shoot your shot with finney he Doesn't have a partner" Jamie said smirking. Laurie sighs as she looks at finney who was sitting all alone then back at Jamie "fine" Laurie said walking over to Finney.
"Hey" Laurie said smiling at finney "wha- huh- hi" finney said confused but happy. "Need a partner" Laurie said sitting down. "Yeah- well- um- I do need a um...partner" finney said with a face that looked like he was in heaven.
"Okay" Laurie said smiling as the two began to dissect the frog. Time passed by as the bell rang to go home. Laurie grabbed her bag leaving.
She walked down the hall before seeing 5 girls glaring at her "hey Laurie" one of the girls said as Laurie quickly walked faster as the girls followed her. "Where you going?" One of the girls said as Laurie ran into the girl's bathroom into the stall locking the stall as she lifted her feet up as the door opened.
"We know your in here you slut. I can smell you" one of the girls said kicking the bathroom stall making Laurie jump. The girls started pounding on the door before the door creeped open.
The bathroom went silent as a familiar voice started talking "hey girls" the voice said as Laurie was in relief it was Jamie. Laurie slowly walked at the stall as the 5 girls stared Jamie.
"Move cunt faces" Jamie said as the girls moved out of the way "man that fight today with my brother and moose was crazy" Jamie said doing her makeup. "I mean I thought moose was dead" Jamie said laughing before turning to the girls.
"If you fuck with Laurie again I will do what my brother did to moose to all of you understand?" Jamie said glaring at the girls. The girl's quickly nodded as they ran out. "Thanks James.." Laurie said with a slight smile.
"Anytime" Jamie said smiling "are you doing anything after school?" Laurie said "yeah me and my brother are going to see Texas chain saw massacre for the 100th time you seen in?" Jamie said putting on her masscara
"Nah horror movies aren't my thing" Laurie said shaking her head "girl the movie is the best like better then any horror movie I've ever seen!" Jamie said. "Well I hope you enjoy it" Laurie said smiling. "Yeah I will, catch you later Laur!" Jamie said walking out. "Yeah you too!" Laurie said.
Several minutes have passed as robin snd Jamie walked down the sidewalk "hey I'm gonna take the shortcut" robin said stopping "no way you know there's people over there I don't like" Jamie said stopping "we'll take the long way then" robin said suggested "fine" Jamie said crossing her arms "later loser" Robin said smiling walking away "later idiot" Jamie said walking the other way.
Jamie was so excited to see Texas Chain Saw massacre which was her favorite movie. But what Jamie didn't know is that her brother would never make it there in fact he was never seen again.
