Chapter 17 - The Finale

Chris' men barged into the room where Chloe was being held and walked straight to the bed.

"It's time to go", one of them said as he pulled the blanket.

To his greatest surprise, she wasn't there, she had somehow escaped, under their surveillance and had put pillows under the blanked to make it look like she was still there.

They raised an alarm so that they would look for her before she got far.

"What is going on? what is all the noise about?", Chris asked on noticing his men running around.

He dragged one of them, one of the two that had gone to get Chloe by the collar and asked directly, "why are you guys running around?",

"The girl escaped", the man replied, trembling out of fear.

"WHAT!!", Chris exclaimed, releasing the man from his grip.

"How did this happen?", Chris asked furiously.

"We don't know sir, we went to fetch her like you instructed but when we got there, she was gone", the man explained, still trembling.

"You don't know! YOU DONT KNOW, weren't you supposed to be guarding her door?", Chris yelled

"No sir, it was Frank that was guarding the door, that wasn't my post",

"And so what? Her door was supposed to be guarded, how the heck did this happen? It doesn't matter, go now, go and find her before she gets far!!", Chris instructed

"Just me or..."

"GET OUT!!"

"Yes sir", the man said and left immediately.

"I see your hostage managed to flee your trap", Justin said with a smirk.

"Shut up"

"Open up", Chloe said, panting

"Kaima, oh my God", Justin said, rushing to help her get through.

"I saw your friends on my way out, but they didn't see me though", Chloe said as they made their way to the van

"On your way out? They weren't the ones who got you out?"

"No, I escaped"

"How?"

"The window"

They both got into the van, closed all the doors and drove off immediately without hesitation

"Wasn't it locked?"

"It was, I broke it"

"Awesome, that's my sister"

"Yeah, whatever. By the way, was it bandana by asake and fireboy dml you were singing back there?"

"Yeah, why?"

"You were being loud"

"Yup, that's my sister"

"Wait a minute, how did you guys know I was there? And if they were going to rescue me, why did we leave them behind?, we should go back to get them for when they come rushing back"
