Reader POV
Being back in my home town was nerving to say the least, I felt stared at by everyone. But I had ideas on how to score a great performance. I was in my performance costume, hand sewn by Valerie herself. I thought about different pokemon musicals that there were out there, but noting much was coming to mind. Serena seemed more put together than I did, so we decided to finish up for lunch, that was until we saw two familiar faces.
"Hey guys!" We turned to see Tierno and Shauna running up to us.
"Its nice to see you all again!" I said.
"It sure is! Say, may we have lunch with you all?" They both asked.
We agreed and took them inside for something to eat, as we did Ash started talking with Tierno about his battle with the next gym leader.
"I feel like I'm going to win! Hands down!" He slapped his hand on the table.
"Don't get your hopes up Ash. Trust me, the Anistar City Gym Leader is a force to be reckoned with." I chuckled.
"How would you know Y/n?" Ash replied.
"I've lived in Anistar City all of my life." I looked at him. "And I've seen how many trainers give up even before entering the gym, so you better have an extraordinary plan to win against her."
"Oh I do." Ash nudged me.
"I believe you." I said.
After lunch, Ash, Bonnie, Clemont, Serena and I decided to go on a walk to burn some of the calories we'd just eaten. Tierno and Shauna had decided to stick back and practice their performances.
"Look there!" Serena pointed towards the Crystalline sundial, a staple of the city. "Lets go over there!"
"This brings back so many memories." I sniffed. "Altaria! Lets experience this together."
As altaria was released, the sundial lit up with many sparkles. My first pokemon and I reminisced on the sight.
"Right we stand was the very same place I caught Altaria. This was also the first place where I decided to run away to. It feels like such a long time ago now." A tear fell from my eye. I looked over at Clemont and he put his arm around me for comfort. This touch felt so warm, unlike before, it felt so raw and pure, it was a feeling of love, Clemont's love for me. However, the moment didn't last long as a wrenching voice interrupted.
"Well, well, well. I thought you'd never show you're face again." I turned to see my father stood there with his Crobat. And my mother tailing behind him with her Liepard. Suddenly, the others had made a wall in front of me, as if they were protecting me, even little Bonnie had done so.
"Don't even think about hurting Y/n!" Clemont shouted.
"We wont hurt him yet..." My father chuckled, maliciously. "We want him back from you thieves, you brainwashed him into thinking the way he does."
"Well you wont get him back! He belongs with us!" Bonnie said.
"Well, now that's settled, its time to hurt you all!" I looked at my mother and she had a worried expression on her face.
