WAKING UP TO THE SOUND OF MY ALARM I IMEDEATLY TURNED IT OFF PRAYING I DID NOT WAKE UP ANYONE ELSE. Getting out of bed I changed into the clothes I had borrowed from Anthony yesterday. The shirt was slightly bigger but I tucked it into the pants which made it seem smaller than it actually was.

After making sure I had everything I needed (including money my mother left behind in a drawer for me to use) I opened my window. Grabbing the hat from my chair I put it on, hiding the long hair I had styled into a bun.

Climbing down the window was not easy at all. Halfway down I slipped and fell on my arm, dirt covering my black coat. I cursed under my breath before getting up and checking everything one more time before grabbing my bike and hopping onto it. Forty minutes later I had dumped my bike outside of the town and was walking towards the station.

Everything run smoothly and at 8:40 I got off the first train and boarded on the second. Walking down the corridor I tried to find an empty compartment for me to sit at. However there weren't any completely empty so I settled down to the on in the middle of the train where a boy sat all alone.

Sliding the door open the person looked at me. "Hey could I sit there?" I asked pointing at the empty seat next to her. He only nodded before looking out of the window.

Examining their face better I realise the person looked more than a girl instead of a boy. However I did not question it as I was kind of in the same situation as her. After a few minutes of silence I heard a thud and only then did I notice the bag placed on the rack above the opposite seat.

The girl also seemed to notice it and turned her head to look at me confused. Before I could say anything the person inside the bag sneezed. Grunting was heard and a knife cut a hole on the bag before it disappeared and was replaced by a hand that was trying to blindly open the bag.

Opening the bag the boy fell on the floor and that's when I realised whoever this was could ruin my plan in a few seconds. Being able to take a better look at the boy I noticed he had brown hair that stopped above his shoulders and dark brown eyes. "Please get out of this carriage" the girl told him.

"I can't. I'm in hiding" he said placing the knife in the inner pocket of his coat. "Bit of a to-do. Bribed a porter to put me in this and get me on board. Very daring" he informed sitting on the empty sit opposite of us. "You need to get out of this carriage" I said calmly, repeating the girl's previous words.

"Get out of this carriage right now" the girl shouted at him when the boy did not answer, nor did her get up to leave. The boy ignored us once again. "You are two strange looking gentlemen" he said, his gaze shifting from the girl to me and back to the girl.

"You think you look normal?" the girl asked annoyed. "You two are not boys. Not at all" he said. "We might be boys" the girl argued. "Who are you?" he asked looking at her. "What are you?" At this point I was just watching them argue.

"I'm Viscount Tewkesbury, the Marquess of Basilwether" he said extending his hand. "You are a nincompoop" the girl said causing the boy to pull his hand away. "I'll have you know, I have just undertaken a particularly daring escape-" he started before the girl cut him off.

"You have not escaped. There is a man in a brown bowler hat currently on this train searching for you, and once he finds you he will think we helped hidding you and we will be endangered by this. Therefore I ask you to leave this carriage."

The boy looked at me for help but I shrugged. "She's right, you aren't the only one who wants to go unnoticed and by helping you we will be anything but that" I spoke. The boy turned his head to look at the girl next to me. "You remind me of my uncle" he said.

"I left him at the station. He's bossy too. Left them all. My mother, my grandmother" he continued standing up. "But I'm fine. I'm free" he smiled. "Good. Getting out of the carriage then shouldn't be much of a problem for you" I told him.

"A man in a brown bowler hat?" he asked, repeating the girl's words. Sliding the compartment's door open he looked right and left before looking at us. "It will be fine" he exhaled before leaving.

The girl sighed and I looked at her, almost sure of what was to come next. Not even a minute later the door opened again to reveal the same boy with a panicked look on his face. "He's coming" he said breathing heavily. "Of course" I muttered sitting up.

"He's checking every carriage!" he panicked. "Wonderful" the girl said before coping my actions. "You have to help me" he said looking between the two of us "I'm afraid I cannot" I said getting my coat. "He didn't see me."

"Of course he did" the brown haired girl whispered. "This is where I say goodbye to you, Viscount Tewkesbury and whatever you said after that" I said leaving the compartment. Seconds later I hear the door slam and I turn my head to see the same girl walking away from our previous compartment.

That's when I see a man with a brown bowler hat passing by her. Following him with my eyes I see him enter the compartment where Tewkesbury still is. The next thing I hear is the boy struggling and my gaze shifts to the girl to find her already starring at me.

Nodding I open the door of the compartment to see the man holding the boy outside the window as if he wants to kill him. This can not be good. The brown eyed girl hits the man while I help the boy who is now holding onto the open door.

Grabbing his hand I pull him towards me just as everything goes dark, meaning we are in a tunnel. Tewkesbury lands right above me, almost crushing me. "Get up, we don't have much time" I order as I see the girl waiting for us on the corridor.

"Who is that? He was trying to kill me!" he asked as we ran trying to find some place to hide. "I'm not ready to die on a train" he stated following behind us. "We are not ready to die at all" I yelled at him. "And we weren't going to before we met you" the girl added checking the compartments.

"Where are we going?" he asked. "I don't know yet let me think" the girl answered annoyed looking into a compartment before she moved to the next one. "Terribly sorry."

Opening the last door we were met with cold air meaning we had reached the end. "Is this truly the best way to come?" asked Tewkesbury. "Can you think of a better way?" the girl snapped. Taking a deep breath I jumped from to the next wagon before turning to look at the two. "Come on!"

"Do you trust me?" the girl asked. "No" "Yes" we said in the same time. "If we time it correctly we can leave him stranded" she shouted. "Time what correctly?" he asked confused.

"Listen we have two choices" I told him. "And which one involves me not dying?" he asked just as the door opened and we found ourselves looking at the very same man with the bowler hat. "This one!" the girl yelled grabbing both mine and the boy's hand before jumping.

And that's how I jumped off a train.
