Pokemon Omega Ruby
Rating: 9.4out of 10

My first pokemon game was pokemon Ruby. (The gameboy advance game) And this game replicated it extremely well. I will start with what made this game so great:
1: The Storyline.
The storyline in this game was better than we have seen in a long time. Although it was technically a replication of pokemon ruby, (which was a great story itself) it went a bit farther with latios and the primal references and the delta episode that extended the game. This extra story really explained a lot, such as the existance of meteor falls and sky pillar and the legacy of rayquaza. Also you might remember the cut scene where Steven talked with Wallace about looking over the region for him while he went off on some sort of quest, explaining why Wallace is the champion in pokemon emerald. Oh, and I have to ask, what was with the whole thing with May? I'm guessing brendon was the same way. They put a lot of personal scenes in there. I don't know what pokemon company was trying to do there.... Maybe implying a relationship that could have happened. But then again, it seems pokemon games are getting more emotional anyways.
2: Dex nav function:
This game introduced dex nav, which to me is almost as useful as super training. Finding hidden ability and egg move pokemon in the wild, not to mention being able to see their potential IVs before you decide to catch? Amazing! As well as seeing if they have an item or a specific ability.
3: The TONS of legendary pokemon
There has to be over 40 legendaries obtainable in these games. That's more than any pokemon game so far. And
Not to mention you can now catch deoxys in this game, which was previously an event exclusive pokemon.
4: Soar:
Soar is great because you don't need a pokemon with fly on your team. Also you can fly or soar into a route, which is nice. Not only that, but it's also cool to see a flying mini game which a friend of mine has been waiting a long time for.
5: the remaking of Hoen was a spectacular:
The layout, music, and overall character and environment redesign was absolutely stunning.

And now the few complaints I have:
1: This game was a tad too long.
In my opinion, x and y was a perfect game length. This game drew out the storyline a bit, which makes it hard to be an effective legendary farm.
2: No non hoen pokemon in the start:
I would have like to play through hoen with something like a shinx or bronzor or a pokemon from another region or something. I was disappointed to find only hoen pokemon.
3: the lack of utilities:
There really isint a good place to train your pokemon fast in this game, nor is there a good place to hatch eggs. They also didint have the outfit change or roller skates we enjoyed in x and y. There isint a good place to farm heart scales either, and the move tutor and deleter are in different places. This is my major complaint: the lack of conviences.
4: easy gameplay:
once you got latios, the game was too easy. It had no difficulty once you got that free legendary. It's just something that messes with me, who played the games like ruby and diamond that were actually had some level of difficulty. ( I think all us veteran players know what I mean) at least Norman was formidable.

All in all, Omega Ruby is a great game. The pros definitely outweigh the cons.

Oh, and I'm going to allow everyone to post their 1st team they played through with on omega ruby. Just post it in comments!
My team:
Blaziken
Aggron
