One fiery night and inside the fire that was burning in great flames was Alerah who had been burned in a serious situation and was screaming in pain and could not see better because of the fire that was coming towards her and that was growing through the bedroom. But a savior was nearby and it was none other than Ayaona who ran into the room and had managed to rush in after Oleia and her friends ran out of the room leaving everything behind. Ayaona managed to look and at the same time run and get to Alerah lying on the floor into the corner where she was cornered and attacked and Ayaona heard her scream in fear and pain and Ayaona picked up Lady Alerah and carried her up and ran and jumped forward excellently towards the door and thankfully men finally arrived to go put out and air the fire out of the floor and Ayaona and the other handmaidens ran together to hurry and find a healing room to put Lady Alerah down for care. Alecor made sure the royal family knew about Lady Alerah's incident and injuries and the fire that had attacked Prince Visery's apartment and the King was enraged by the attack on his home and could have succeeded in killing one of the Princes. He didn't mention anything about Alerah and even though the attack was on her, of course he was aware of her but he couldn't mention Alerah in words. It took a long time for the skin to relax and for the redness to subside a bit. Alerah was completely stiff and hurt like only that and meanwhile Maester Pycelle was there nursing her face and after that Alerah finally fell asleep and woke up quite early and all her friends were there and Alerah was about to cry but didn't dare to express herself in tears to do more damage but it hurt more as she worked to stop the tears and then let her eyes water.

The princes had come back after two days after the fire incident and both of them were so shocked by the whole thing and Viserys was actually scared to have lost his dear Alerah but luckily the news came that she had survived the attack and her severe injuries and will to get his whole face over a couple of months at least. Luckily, only her outer face had only been deeply damaged and no major damage to her eyes, mouth or nose or anything else. But Queen Rhaella had taken Alerah in as her guest and helped her to be cared for with a so-called family member and Rhaella tried everything to save her life.

Alerah was given a small room out of Rhaella that was in the Queen's chamber that was never used and there Rhaella ordered a big lovely bed to give Alerah as much space as she could get to feel comfortable for her body. But who cared much when you have quite recently been through a major death attack on yourself and came close to being killed out by fire. In the fire she lost everything and probably also her little Leona.

But things Alerah didn't care about but she felt very worthless because of everything that Prince Viserys had given her to a new and glorious life that she thought she wouldn't be part of again, in other words that she would have to live in freedom and dignity and in the bargain she also got nobility and wealth out of the love of her life. But for the moment there was still the greatest horror that had ruined Alerah's life and probably that of her beloved Prince. Her beauty and face were now probably destroyed and gone forever.

That day when Viserys had come home he had rushed to his mother's room to see Alerah and see how she was but the Queen asked her son to let Alerah rest and sleep as much as possible and Alerah could also hear him. But during the other days she refused him to come and look at her because her face disgusted her immensely after what the servants of her enemy had done to her. Alerah still remembers as if it were recently that she was burned and left for dead. It was horrible to even think about letting Prince Viserys take one look and probably dump her because of her face.

Alerah cried every morning as she got her bandages wrapped to treat her wounds, which hurt quite a bit every day but the salve Maester Pycelle gave her helped plus a few other salves to help the flesh and skin a few times a day. Eventually, Alerah's dearest friends and servants managed to bathe the wounds and the skin healed back to a soothing red skin that was about to fade, but Alerah still walked around with a shawl to hide her wounds.
