Basil's Perspective:
Brrr. I tugged at my sleeves till they covered my hands. It was freezing. I had been planting some seeds, hoping that they would flower someday into eye-catching flowers that would make one stop in their place. But to no avail. (Sigh). It had certainly been shining when I looked out of the window a few hours ago, the sun being the key to my leaving the house. Alas, I didn't have any other option but to quit, (as much as I hated it). I stood up, balancing my weight on both my feet, and I set off.
I wasn't heading anywhere particularly. Just wandering here and there. I walked in my timid manner, rubbing just my hands occasionally. Soon enough I so a crossing. As I started walking through the black and white stripes, I saw three familiar faces opposite me. Hero, Aubrey, and Kel.
'Oh hell nah..." I whispered to myself.
As I continued to walk, eyes glued to the ground, I noticed a light brush on my shoulder. Kel. I looked up, and saw hums smile at me, the same smile he had used whenever seeing me finally leaving my private bubble. He waved at me, and, for a moment, I thought he was gonna call Hero and Aubrey. I couldn't. This was the first time seeing them after the confession. I wasn't ready. Not yet.
"Hey Ba-!" he smiled, but I guess he saw the tears forming on my lower eyelid, as the panic kept rising. A tight knot formed on my stomach.
"P-please..." I whispered, barely audible. I shook my head. I was sure Hero was now going to turn his head, facing me, so I quickly sprinted forward, and if I hadn't, the cars would have run over me.
...
As I opened the door of the local café, I inhaled the familiar aromas. I started breathing more freely now, and the knot in my stomach started to ease a bit. I sat just beside the large windows, my all-time favorite place, and slowly reached for my phone.
It was 17:15. I was just about to click the turn-off button when I received a message from Kel.
