4:30. 4:30 AM is the time on my alarm clock. Why am I up this early? Who am I trying to impress at school with all this makeup...I already have the only guy I'll ever need: Chandler.
We met in 7th grade. He was the new kid at school, so I showed him around. We had half our schedule together, and we sat next to each other in math, so we got to know each other really well. Long story short, here I am, my sophomore year, the first day of school...and Chandler has been my boyfriend since 8th grade. He's been there for me through everything, and I wouldn't trade him for the world.
As I'm putting on foundation, I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. I quickly grab my phone to see who could possibly be texting me at almost 5am.
From: Chan💙
Good morning beautiful, youll be on the bus this morning right? I'll save you a seat if you want. Can't believe summers over
I text him back right away telling him to save me a seat on the bus. I couldn't believe summer was over either...it seemed like I blinked and three months of freedom passed just like that.

"Audrey! Over here!" I hear my name being called. I look over to see Chandler, with a smile as wide as Saturn's rings on his face.
"Hey babe," I say while sitting down next to him. He smiles and we talk until the bus gets to school. As soon as we walk in, Chandler sees the poster saying auditions for the school play. He's always been great at acting. Ever since I met him, I remember him always talking about being on a TV show or in a movie.
"Should I do it?" he asks me, snapping me out of my daydream of him becoming a big actor someday. "Of course!" I reply, grinning. He returns the smile and writes his name on the list as the bell rings. He kisses me on the cheek as we head in separate directions, going to our classes.

"That honestly seemed like the longest day of school ever", I think as I walk out of the dark blue doors. On the bright side, I get to spend more time with Chandler when I get home. We're babysitting his little sister, Elise. She's one of the sweetest and most cooperative little kids I've ever met, honestly. I loved babysitting her, and not only because I get to spend more time with Chan.I quickly hop up the steps and ring the doorbell. The door swings open and Elise jumps in my arms. I know 4 year olds are supposed to have a lot of energy, but Elise was like a walking pixie stick. She never slowed down, always jumping and dancing and singing everywhere. It was adorable, though.
Chandler soon after comes down the steps and gives me a hug. We played a few games with Elise, and then tucked her in for a nap. After she was settled down, Chandler and I went outside on his porch.
"I have to show you something," Chandler says while excitedly pulling out his phone.
"Okay..." I say, confused but excited for what he was going to show me. He was always full of surprises.
"Read this," he continued, handing me his phone.
It was an email from producers of a television show. They wanted him to audition and try out for one of the lead roles. If he got it, he would be on national television and he'd get to live his dream of becoming an actor.
"CHAN!! THATS FLIPPING AMAZING!!" I shouted, jumping up from where I was sitting and hugging him. He grins and hugs me back. "Are you gonna do it? Chandler you have to this is the opportunity of a lifeti-" I say as he cuts me off. "Calm down babe, of course I'm gonna audition. No guarantees I'll make it, though," he says while still smiling in my arms. "Oh Chan, I couldn't be more happy for you," I say as I pull away from the hug. "And I couldn't be more thankful for a supportive girlfriend like you," he smiles.
-- Two Weeks Later --
I was so nervous for Chandler. It was the day of his audition, and he's supposed to call me to let me know how it went. I cooked myself some lunch, and while I was sitting eating it I heard my phone ring. I ran to my phone, praying it was from Chandler. I look down to see his caller ID and almost flipped out there and then. I quickly answer the phone.
"Babe? How'd it go? Did you get the part? Were they-" I start asking questions until he interrupts me.
"Audrey, calm down." he says sternly. "Okay, okay I'm sorry. But did you get the part?" I reply.
"Yes. I got it." Chandler says, with almost no emotion in his voice.
"BABE THATS THE BEST NEWS EVER, IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU AND PROUD, OH MY GOSH I LOVE YOU SO MU-"
"There's bad news." he interrupts.
"What do you mean there's bad news?" I question. My boyfriend literally just got the job of his dreams, the opportunity of a lifetime, and he sounds like he couldn't be more upset.
"I'm leaving for L.A tomorrow and I won't be back for 7 months."
I drop my phone and stare at the picture of Chandler and I on my dresser. My love is leaving me.
