"Why did the-e power go out in the middle of winter?" Jay asked, chattering under the blanket that he and Nya were hiding under.
"Plot convenience," Nya said looking towards the camera.
Take 2
"Who kno-ows?" Nya said, pulling the blanket more towards her.
"Hey!" Jay pulled the blanket from Nya.
They started a full-out tug war, pulling from one end to the other.
"Give it back," Nya growled.
"No, you," Jay said, almost falling when pulling if it weren't for Nya pulling at the same time.
"No chance." Nya let it go for a second before pulling.
"Ouch." Jay put his hand behind his head and laid back down.
"Are you alright?" Nya asked, worried.
"Yeah." Jay scoffed lightheartedly.
"This isn't going to work."
They both just lay there on their backs, enjoying the comfortable silence. Both of them forgot the cold even.
Suddenly, a light bulb went off in Jay's head.
"Come closer." Nya did and Jay hugged her.
Almost immediately, Nya realigned herself to one of their cuddling positions.
It looked like the normal rom-com cuddling positions.
Jay threw the blanket over them and it felt considerably warmer.
The both of them basked in the warmth and each other's comfort.
"I love you," Jay said before falling asleep.
"I-I love you too." Nya too fell asleep with the sound of Jay's heartbeat lulling her to sleep.
