That night, Bruno had just put the twins to bed as Y/N got ready for bed. Then when he was done, he went into their room. He then snuck up behind his wife and grabbed and spun her, making her giggle. He then gently placed her down and turned her around to face him.
"I rarely see your mischievous side," she said.
"It comes and goes from time to time," he told her.
"Hey, any side of you is great," Y/N replied before pulling him into a hug.
As they hugged, Bruno could scarcely hear Y/N's quiet sobs.
"Y/N, are you alright?" Bruno asked in concern, parting from her a bit.
"Yes. Just...still happy to have you back," she answered, wiping her happy tears away.
He smiled and assured her, "And I don't plan on leaving. I promise I won't."
"Good. Because after you being gone for 10 years, I'm not letting you be gone for a day," Y/N stated.
Bruno chuckled and responded, "Fair enough."
They then let their foreheads rest against the other, just breathing each other in, before he got an idea.
"Would you like to dance?" he asked.
She looked at him with a smile and wondered, "With no music?"
"I have that covered," Bruno assured.
Y/N then took his hand, answering, "I would love to."
They soon started dancing slowly when Bruno quietly sang.
[BRUNO:]
"Do I love you because you're beautiful
Or are you beautiful because I love you?
Am I making believe I see in you
A girl too lovely to be really true?
Do I want you because you're wonderful
Or are you wonderful because I want you?
Are you the sweet invention of a lover's dream
Or are you really as beautiful as you seem?"
In response, Y/N quoted herself from when they first confessed how they felt.
"Maybe you're imagining it. And maybe I'm imagining it too," Y/N pointed out, smirking a bit.
[Y/N:]
"Am I making believe I see in you
A man too perfect to be really true?
Do I want you because you're wonderful
Or do I want you because you're wonderful?"
[BOTH:]
"Are you the sweet invention of a lover's dream
Or are you really as wonderful as you seem?"
He then kissed both her knuckles and her forehead, her closing her eyes in content at the last one.
"I've always dreamed of happiness. And now it really has. I don't ever want this moment to end," he told her.
"Neither do I," she responded before they embraced each other.
[BOTH:]
"Are you the sweet invention of a lover's dream
Or are you really as wonderful as you seem?"
They then kissed, not wanting to stop, but had to due to air.
"Y/N, I really am sorry about leaving. I really thought I was protecting you and the family, but I soon realized it was hurting you and them. I don't think I can forgive myself for that," Bruno apologized, bowing his head.
"Hey," Y/N started, gently got him to look at her, then continued while caressing his cheek, "We all have forgiven you. I've forgiven you. You don't need to hold onto that anymore. You did what you thought was right and as painful as it was, just knowing that I would see you again and our life before that kept me going. I love you, Bruno. Nothing will ever change that."
He felt himself crying happy tears, to which Y/N gently wiped them away. They then headed to bed, holding each other.
"I never deserved you, Y/N. You are so amazing," he whispered to her.
"I never deserved you either. And so are you," she returned.
They soon fell asleep, still happy to have each other back.
