15| There's always a loophole

Hopes POV 

We all went back to the school to see what was happening with Landon. When we made it to the school we saw Dr.Saltzman waiting for us in the hallway.

"What happened," I asked him

"You guys had left for your family dinner with hope's family and I was doing my rounds but when I went to check on him, he was gone." He told us.

"Well, he could have just left into town to clear his head or something," Lizzie told him from the nearby chair she was sitting on looking annoyed.

"Well, the problem is that after the last few problems we have had with the monsters and Landon activating artifacts I had the witches put a tracing spell on him. It went dead about an hour ago we had him then we didn't " He told us.

"Well, what do you think happened," Josie asks.

"I don't know but grab your gear and let's go." We all nodded in no time we were all packed and were walking out to the front of the school towards the cars when we were stopped in the front by a bunch of guys with guns.

"Oh sorry, we were about to know." This guy who seemed like he was in charge said.

"Who the hell are you?" Lizzie asked from behind me.

"Names Burr. Triad Industries."He introduced.

After I heard the name triad I tried the spell "Propellere." I said as I waved my hands out only for nothing to happen.

"I got this," Kaleb said from beside Josie using his vamp speed only to flinch in pain when his skin was touched by the sun.

"What you don't have is magic which is why your daylight ring won't work. And what we have are stakes, wolfsbane... and other things." he gestured to behind him. "So I think you should invite us inside."

Josie, Lizzie, and I escaped along with Dr.Saltzman who said he was going to get us our magic back. We ran into his office and barricaded the door shut. "Okay they want the chalice we have to find it and get it away from the school but right now look for the school phone they took mine. I tell them." We started rummaging through the drawers and I looked into a glass cabinet and found it. I dialed my Aunt Bex's number which picked up after a few rings. 

"Hello? Who's this." She answered.

"Aunt Bex we need your help."

"What's happened what's wrong."

"It's triad. They have come into the school and they took our powers from us we need your help." 

"Okay I'll get the others is there any way around going in through the front so I and your uncles don't burn up."

"Go through the tunnels under the school I trust you know where they are."

"We do. we will be there soon."

I hung up the phone. "Alright, help is on the way."

"Well isn't that nice?" We hear from behind us as Burr opens up the door to Saltzman's office.

"What do you want," I ask him as I step in front of the girls.

"You not very scared of me are you?" He asks me. He pulls out a gun. "How about now?"

I look at the gun as a smirk spreads across my face I laugh a little. "That's your plan? You're gonna shoot a kid?"

"This gun would never harm a human child. You three however these bullets are made from the mud of Malivore weaponized by triad scientists they can break the skin of any supernatural like a hot knife through butter. Fester. Infect them. Disintegrate them from the inside out." He says loading the gun.

" We don't know where the chalice is," Josie says stepping out beside me.

" I believe you. This is just for fun." He put the gun up and points it at Josie first before Lizzie moves in front of her. 

"Not my sister she's pregnant," Lizzie says.

"Even better I can prevent the creation of your abominations at the source but first I should take care of you." He shoots Lizzie first and lets off a second bullet to hit Josie which I stop by putting my arm out. Josie holds Lizzie who collapsed onto the floor.

"That was your first mistake. Now you pay with your life." I say showing my wolf eyes and transforming. I run at him and start to rip him limb from limb as his team members try and come to his aid after hearing his screams. I start to take out a bunch of the triad members as I see the witches start to help after MG comes running in letting them know their powers are working again. 

"Hope." I hear from behind me. I turn around halting my actions of ripping more triad guys to pieces and walk over to Josie whining and putting my muzzle on her stomach. "It's okay hope me and the baby are okay but right now we need to help Lizzie." I pull her over to Lizzie and place my muzzle on Lizzie's stomach where she was shot. "How do we fix it." 

"Well, you told us that the pit is made of all three supernatural species right." My aunt Freya asked Josie who nodded. "Well then let's try Hope's blood to see if that will counteract the effects since she is all three. I turn back as a blanket is thrown over me. 

"If it'll help I am willing to try," I tell them as I take a knife from my uncle Marcel.

"If I'm drinking your blood you had better be clean," Lizzie complains from where she is leaning on the table.

"Wow, Lizzie you look like crap, and yet you're still making jabs at me," I tell her as I collect blood in my hand from a cut I made. 

"I was protecting my niece or nephew's puppy." She tells me before drinking my blood. 

"And I thank you very much for that. Now Triad was here looking for the last artifact but we still need to figure out where Landon is." I tell them. 

"I think I can help with that," MG says pulling his mom into all of our views. "Go on mom tell them about the family legacy." He says with a hint of anger in his voice. 

"Landon is at our headquarters in Fort Valley, Georgia." She tells us.

"Why what made you want to take him," I asked her.

"I don't know one of our employees said that he was essential to our mission so I took him and had him transported there." She says.

"Okay well, we need to get to him. I need you guys to stay here and gather all the triad guys hold them and compel them to forget everything. Mg's mom on the other hand is a different problem we can deal with later, for now, I got to get to headquarters and stop them from trying to release Malivore." I tell them all.

"I'm coming with you," Josie tells me.

"No, For once I am not letting you come with me Jo this is not just about me anymore it's about keeping you and our kids safe," I tell her.

She pulls me in for a kiss before letting me go resting our forehead against each other." Then you best do well to come back to us Hope Mikaelson."

"I promise. Always and Forever."
