Chapter 2 - Baby Elaine"Hindi rin malinaw sa CCTV natin eh... tapos naka-face mask pa at may sarong 'yung babae na nang-iwan ng basket sa pagitan ng mga unit niyong dalawa," one of the security staff told Blaine and Eloise when the two of them were at the security office of the condominium building. Pumunta silang dalawa roon kaagad matapos kunin ulit ang "baby in the basket" galing orphanage.
Yes, for now, that's what would they call the baby.
They both decided (while still bringing the unnamed baby) to go to the security to check the CCTV cameras of the building. They were hoping that once they would check the CCTVs, they would know the person who left the baby girl.
It was almost evening and still, they haven't found any solution for this baby yet—kung kanino nila ito isasauli o iiwan. Her voice sounded irritated already.
She also heard Blaine sighing. Ramdam din niyang naiinis na ito. "I'm going to ask for the copy of the CCTV video from last night until today. Just send it to my unit, 2721." He simply said and proceeded to leave the security room—bitbit pa rin nito ang basket.
"T-Teka!"
But the guy's steps were so fast—adding that he was tall and has long legs, while her, she was short and struggling to keep up with hin.
Blaine stopped again when they finally arrived in front of the elevator. Blaine immediated pushed the elevator button and after a minute, they both entered it. It was also Blaine who pushed the 27th floor button.
"Do you even have a plan in mind, Ms. Gomez?" Blaine suddenly blurted as he looked at her sharply.
"W-Wala... B-But," sinubukan niyang tapangan ang sariling boses. She folded her arms and raised an eyebrow at him.
"Bakit ba ayaw mong aminin na may nabuntis kang babae? Every week kang may kahalayang ginagawa sa unit mo for the past two years—since I became your neighbor next door. For sure, kahit gumamit pa kayo ng proteksyon, may ten percent chance na may nakalusot na sperm cell at pumunta sa ovary ng isa sa mga babae mo at naging embryo then zygote then—"
She didn't finish her sentence when Blaine laughed, shaking his head. She wasn't sure if it was just sarcasm or he was really laughing about what she just said.
"H-Hoy! Kinakausap pa kita!" She yelled out loud.
"T-Teka! Bakit binigay mo sa 'kin 'to?" She reacted quickly.
Blaine turned around to face her. This time, he smirked at her. He even folded his arms while looking smugly at her. "Ikaw unang nakakita sa bata so you'll have the baby for tonight."
