Chapter 5 - Baby Fever

"Hindi pwede 'to... Hindi talaga pwede," Eloise was talking to herself while pacing back and forth. Both she and Blaine went home to the condo after that encounter with their cleaning lady's residence. She was currently at Blaine's condo unit together with the baby. Nakaupo lang ito sa malaking sofa nito habang siya ay pabalik-balik na naglalakad habang iniisip kung anong susunod na gagawin nila. Baby Elaine was just sleeping soundly beside Blaine inside her mini basket. Na hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin nila pinapalitan.

She was already biting her nails as her anxiety keeps getting high. "Hindi pwedeng tayo ang mag-aalaga sa kanya. Hindi pwede tayo ang mag-adopt sa kanya. First off," hinarap niya muli ang lalake. She pointed a finger. "We're not a couple. We're just neighbors. For godsake, we're not even friends to begin with. Kasalanan mo 'talaga 'to!"

Blaine, who was already massaging his temples, looked at her sharply. "As if this was all my fault?" He rolled his eyes at her. "You and your doctor boyfriend are going strong, you adopt her."

Eloise gasped dramatically. "Wow! Bakit naman namin aakuin ang bata? Probably, you seduced Ate Tere, you had a one night stand with her before then impregnated her after!" Her tone was very accusatory.

Bigla naman itong tumayo at nilapitan siya. Hindi na nito suot ang gray coat nito at suot na lang nito ang white long sleeved formal shirt nito. His gray necktie was still on. When he was already an inch nearer, Eloise stepped back a little. He was already towering over her. She was already tilting her head to meet his gaze. Hindi niya ito mabasa.

Blaine crossed his arms, not breaking his gaze at her. "Do you really think that lowly of me? Like I'm fucking every woman on earth?" He suddenly spoke, his voice disappointed. "You're a teacher and you judge people quickly." Umiling pa ito.

Eloise folder her arms as well, defensive, "I'm not being judgmental when it's the truth. Paano ko hindi iisipin na ganung klase kang tao? Every night, you bring different women—whom you shamelessly having sex with while I'm hearing those gross sex moans on the side. Alam mo ba kung ilang mga gabi na hindi ako nakakatulog ng maayos? At ilang gabi ko ring iinisip kung paano kita sasakalin dahil sa kahalayan na ginagawa mo?"

Blaine chuckled lightly. Then he gave a sigh. He smirked at her. "And every night, I always tell you that you're welcome to join."

"Gago ka ba? Alam mo—"

"I don't have an energy to fight with you tonight, Eloise." He stopped her, mentioning her name for the first time. Usually, neighbor, Ms. Gomez or Ms. Taylor Swift's fan naman ang tawag nito sa kanya. Bigla itong naglakad ulit papalapit sa kanya at siya naman ay paatras ng paatras. Hanggang sa naramdaman na niya sa likod ang pinto. "For any consolation, you can actually go home to your place now and I'll have the baby for tonight. I am tired to talk with you further." Binuksan nito ang pinto sa likod niya. He was already so near to her that she could smell his scent. Despite the long day that they had earlier, Blaine still smelled good—a mixed of woody and mint perfume.

"Good night," he slightly pushed her outside. Bago paman siya maka-react ay tuluyan na siyang nakalabas mula sa unit nito at kaagad siya nitong pinagsarhan ng pinto.

Huminga siya ng malalim. Na kay Blaine ang baby so she's gonna sleep soundly for tonight. "We can find a solution." She said to herself, trying to calm her nerves.

Huminga ulit siya ng malalim. "Ugh! Nakakainis!" Nilapitan niya ulit ang pinto ng unit nito at kumantok ng malakas. "Hoy! Dapat magplano muna tayo kung anong susunod natin na gagawin!"

"Go away, neighbor," she could hear him shouting from inside. "Bukas na tayo mag-usap. I'm in no mood to talk with you." Anito at mas lalo lang siyang nainis.
