Chapter 4 Gale

After I get in the shower I walk done stairs quietly so Peeta does not here me. The last person I need to see is Peeta.

I smell pancakes and bacon the second I make it done the stairs. Oh no Peeta is down here make breakfast and I just want to go to the woods. And my jacket is on the dinning room chair.

Oh who gives a shit I will just go with out it.
But before I reach the door I hear this. "Katniss ?!?!? Are you done stairs?" Peeta yells. Oh shit he found me. Ummm what to do but before I think of something I see him running up stairs. This is the time to grab my father's hunting jacket.

I quickly run over to the chair and grab my jacket and run out the door to the woods.

After I walk past many people I finally get to the old broke metal fence that was around district 12. But they have know taken most of it down.

I find my bow and arrows that my father made me when I was young in the log. And I start walking to the pond.

The pond always comes me down. I always love to come here it is so pretty when it is spring because all the flowers bloom.

But I see something in the bushes moving and it just has to ruin my moment. I get my bow and arrow ready to shoot at just before I hear that familiar Voice.

" Hey don't shoot catnip" Gale.

"Oh my gosh Gale" I say to him while running up to him and giving him a big hug.

"Well it looks like someone missed me." Gale says laughing a little.

"Well sorry you are my best friend that I have not seen in 15 years." I say with a sad face but I giggle a little but hopefully he does not hear that.

"Well catnip I say we have some catching up to do" Gale says

"Yes we do." I say with the biggest smile on my face.

But before we start to talk again I get a text on my phone. (a/n Yes they do have phones 15 years later)

I am sorry Kat. What ever I said I am sorry. I am really worried about you. You never came for breakfast. And when I tried to look for you I never found you. I am really sorry. And you
Know what we do not have to have kids.

I decided not to respond because I am no clue what to say. Gale is just looking at me confused and seeing my sad face.

I giggle because he looks really funny.

"What did something funny behind me make you giggle or something?" Gale says confused

"Nope it is your face. You look hilarious" I say still laughing.

"Well Did I make the Katniss Everdeen laugh. I am so proud of myself." Gale says with a stunned face on.

"Well yes you just did but it is Katniss Mellark." I say.

"I am sorry my lady I did not know." Gale says with a sad face.

"Well I think I should go home it is getting late. Shall I see you around?"

"Sounds good. See you later. Bye Katniss" Gale says while getting up.

"Bye Gale"
