The Journey of the Beetroot Person

Chapter 7

Eventually, they landed on the actual Christmas tree world, and it didn't disappoint. Every square inch of the place was covered in Christmas trees, some tall, some short, some colourful and some dull.

"Mirahell must be here..." Jane said, muttering to herself, leaving the others behind. "She must..."

Just as she was about to scream in frustration after not finding anything yet, there she was.

Mirahell.

She looked the same as she did the day she killed Bully Maguire. She was sitting underneath a Christmas tree, admiring all the decorations.

"You brat," Jane said, storming up to her. "You killed him! You killed the only bully I would ever loved, and now you're gonna pay for it in blood."

"Hello there," Mirahell said cheerfully, and Jane stopped, confused at her change in behaviour. "I was wondering when you chumps would show up."

"Yeah well I'm here now to finish the job!" Jane said, summoning her soul stone powers, but suddenly stopped as she realised something.

"Wait. Did you just say chumps?" Jane said, and looked at the girl in hope.

"Looking good, babe." Bully Maguire said, and Jane hugged him in relief.

"Wait, lemme change you back." She said, and with her powers he was once again in his bullyish body.

"What the hell..." Mariposa said in awe, looking between the couple.

"But... Mirabel... Bully died... you're... what?" Camilo exclaimed, dumbfounded.

"Well, Bully, why don't you tell us what happened?" Jane asked him, curious herself but with a broad grin on her face.

"Well, I didn't actually die when you thought I died, and then I met this weirdo woman who healed me with her cooking and then told me all about her strange dream with me in it." Bully explained. "Hey do you wanna hear the dream?"

Everyone was about to say no, but Bully went into a long explanation of the woman's odd dream. "So she was like, 'Oh my gosh, bully guava ate the lemon in the tomato sauce yesterday because he didn't understand the power of yaks and their parrots, but I couldn't do anything because I needed to sleep because I accidentally found a shoe with red laces that Mr Brad Pitt ate for breakfast because his llama knew karate. But I couldn't do anything because Bully was there with his green horse named Shady so I just stood there in awe and then I found a pancake and called the sheep to take him away in a body bag.' And I was like 'See ya chump!' because she was hella creepy."

Everyone stood dumbfounded, but Bully ranted on. "And then I found this person who was like one of the infinity stones, and they turned me into Mirahell for some reason, and so I came to the Christmas tree world on the potato ship that I found with the infinity stone dude, and waited for you all to show up!"

"I am so confused on so many different levels, but okay." Brett the kangaroo said eventually.

"Wait..." Mariposa said, realisation dawning on her face. "Mirahell had the potato ship, so that must mean she came to the Camilo planet again just after we left!"

"That twit..." Jane said, and clenched her fists. "How the hell are we gonna find her now? She could be anywhere, and we have no Bruno to tell us where to go..."

Just as she was about to go insane, the Giant Space Spider appeared as a vision out of nowhere, but it seemed that only Jane could see it, since everyone else was still locked in a debate about what chicken's feet and legs are called.

"Jane," the spider said wisely. "Listen to me carefully. First, you must go to a different Bully Maguire planet. You will find what you seek there. But after you are satisfied, call upon me, since your journey will not be done just yet."

And with that, the spider disappeared into thin air.

"Everyone!" Jane shouted, interrupting their vital discussion, causing groans from Mariposa and Camilo who were getting into it. "We have two ships now, so we can split up. Some people can even stay on this planet, since it is quite nice." As Jane said it, Ashley, Nat and Brett's hands shot up.

"Brett is feeling homesick," Ashley explained. "And Nat and I just love Christmas. We'll stay here for a while, then come find you all in the carrot ship."

"Great. We're heading over to another Bully Maguire planet, so just go there when you can." Jane replied, and the remaining people jumped in the potato ship, waving goodbye to Nat, Brett and Ash.

"See ya chumps!" Bully shouted over the loud ship, and then they were gone to the planet where the Giant Space Spider recommended, hopefully where they would find Mirahell and end her pitiful existence once and for all.
