"Good luck Scott, you got this."
You stifled the giggle as Scott gave a goofy grin and responded to Steve's encouragement by saying, "You're right. I do got this Captain America."
Nat sent you a sidelong glance, smirking a little. "Scott's kinda always had a crush."
You stepped back, watching wide-eyed as things seemed to go all sorts of crazy. When Scott was finally back as himself and not old or a baby or whatever you had just witnessed, Steve shook his head and walked away. Sending the others a quick look you hurried after him.
He didn't go very far, just beyond the doors to outside. Standing with his hands on his hips and staring out across the grounds to the compound. You rested your head against his back, you arms circling his waist just so he knew you were there. After a moment he pulled you around in front of him.
"Princess—" he started to say but then the sound of squealing tires interrupted him and his head jerked up. Automatically he angled himself in front of you, eyes on the car pealing up the driveway. The car screeched to a halt just behind Steve before backing up.
Tony Stark rolled down the window and looked at him. "Why the long face? Let me guess. He turned into a baby?"
Steve scoffed lightly. "Among other things, yeah. What are you doing here?"
"It's the EPR paradox," Tony said as he climbed out of the car. "Instead of pushing Lang through time you might've wound up pushing time through Lang. It's tricky, dangerous. Someone could have cautioned you against it."
"You did."
"Oh, did I? Well thank god I'm here. Regardless, I fixed it." He held up his wrist, showing off an odd looking device there. "A fully functioning time GPS. I just want peace. Turns out resentment is corrosive and I hate it."
"Me too," Steve said.
"We got a shot at getting these stones but I gotta tell you my priorities. Bring back what we lost, I hope yes. Keep what I found? I have to. At all costs. And maybe not die trying."
Steve held up his hand. "Sounds like a deal."
Tony grasped it, before he moved to the trunk of his car and pulled out a shield. Steve looked at it. "Tony I don't know."
"Why not? He made it for you. Plus, honestly I have to get it out of the garage before Morgan takes it sledding."
You watched as Steve took his old shield, fitting it onto his arm before he looked at Tony. "Thank you Tony."
"Will you keep that a little quiet? Didn't bring one for the whole team. We are getting the whole team yeah?"
Steve nodded. "We're working on that right now."
"Great then let's go." He seemed to finally catch sight of you and stopped dead in his tracks. "You're an omega."
"Yes," you answered plainly.
Tony looked around at Steve, his thumb jerking towards you. Steve stepped up to you, his hand brushing down your hair before resting on the back of your neck. Tony's eyebrows climbed high. "Well, you kind of left that out of the newsletter didn't you."
"We were pretty focused on talking about the whole time travel thing when we visited with you."
"Uh-huh. Right." Tony's eyes swept over you before he shrugged. "That's probably gonna make things interesting. C'mon let's go."
You looked up at Steve as Tony strolled away. "Why?"
"Why what?" Steve asked, his hand squeezing your neck gently.
