Nova's Diary - Entry 3

"I don't think anyone is around, so it's okay if you use my real name." I heard Divakar say.

Yawning, I stretched out, accidentally hitting something and then hearing cards spill everywhere. Divakar huffed and pushed me off his lap.

"Hm!" I squeaked.

"So... food? Or what would you like to do?" Divakar asked, picking up the cards. I stretched out like a cat before sitting down in a crisscross, rubbing my eyes trying to wake up.

"Food sounds nice," Rei said, as I felt myself zone out a bit. My stomach growled and I realized how hungry I was.

"I'm getting food." I said quickly after I finished stretching. I left the room without waiting for Divakar to answer, knowing he'd likely object.

I made I way into the main area just in time to hear Joker talking. "Well love, I have bigger plans then just three people. I've got big plans. However just as much as you don't trust me I can't trust you. Although I do admit Valaine you also peak my curiosities as well. However trusted is more easily given than gained. Within time, if you stay, things will become clearer."

Joker yawned, then looked at the group. "So is that all? Any questions? If not it's time to rest and get your gear checked and ready. Soon we will take over the gift area the first objective."

I nodded absent minded, but made a mental note to tell Divakar later. I then realized I had no idea where the food was.

Running back to the room quickly, I crashed into someone coming out of the room.

"Sorry! I realized I have no idea how to navigate this place and got scared." I said quickly, as I realized it was Divakar.

"Well, we found her." Rei joked from behind him, having stopped right in time to avoid the collision.

"Heh. Yeah. C'mon, let's see if we can't find the food." Divakar said, holding my hand. I rolled my eyes, but honestly felt safer this way.

Divakar lead us into the lunch, bringing me in behind him, and Rei following behind me. "Well, I think this is it." He said finally letting go of my hand.

I sniffed the air, then frowned. I couldn't smell anything. I walked over to a cabinet and opened the door. There were chips and food, so I grabbed one, deciding on a bag of chips. Divakar took it from me to inspect it.

"Seems like okay food to me." He said with a shrug. He grabbed a bag of chips and a water, then offered a bag and bottle to Rei. I ignored them and walked over to a table and sat down before Divakar joined and Rei joined me.

I shifted over a bit taking some string pieces from my satchel and started to weave and in weave them repeatedly. It was something calming, and fun, that I had learnt how to do.

Rei started making a noise that sounded kinda like purring to me. It was very pretty and I smiled. It sounded nice.

"Um." I heard Divakar say. "It- it sounds good."

I looked up, confused, before settling back on my work. My hearing is still kinda shot from earlier. I must have missed the first part of their conversation.

Suddenly a thought came to me. "Hey do you think they have more juice here?" I asked, already heading towards the cabinets.

"Maybe?" I heard Rei say from behind me as she also got up.

"Found some!" I said. I took out a juice box and poked the straw through it, staying by the drawers. The juice tasted amazing compared to water.

I looked up, eying the new face that came in, and continued to sip on my juice.
